I put a few of my roosters on a Facebook farm page. One lady said she'd take the one and pick it up the next day. Another rooster had 2 people trying to claim him. Guess what . . . they're all still here! Its worse than Craigslist because I chat with these people all the time. But now I know who to avoid I guess.

Hi again,, I have a problem,, I cannot post pictures here on cheese heads.. I just tried posting a picture on Cr's List and it worked.. NOW what do I do ? I also am not getting the notifications when somebody posts.. I re subscribed and that did nothing..

as I am sitting here, I could hear a chick peeping.. I checked the TV and they are all comfortable.. then all of a sudden I see movement in bator #3.. a chicken just hatched.. If it is a barock, it sure is a light colored one.. welllll, at least it was a barock egg , for sure.. rooster unknown.. must have been a dormant sperm from a Del.. there is no way they could have gotten together except through a 1 inch hole in the fence.. now that's a good "flapper"..

UnkaDan, I am thinking of topping off all the holes around the tomatoes and peppers with pure sand.. good idea ? No ? eventually I need sand to cut that clay-ish soil anyway..

I pinched all the blossoms off the pepper and tomato plants.. except for 2 peppers.. I think an early pepper is worth the sacrifice..

I planted 25 tomatoes and 18 peppers..

It is supposed to clear up for a few days in a row this week.. I will work up the soil outside the GHse for the corn and beens , then..

I am going to frame up the rafters on the GHse and then just stretch clear plastic over it for this summer.. I can't afford real roof panels at this juncture.. Nephew Jake can get me some plastic for free .. that price is right, eh ?

I am sooo hungry for fresh bluegills that I just might have to force myself to go to the lake one of these days..

Heather,, I am really sorry you got a roo.. just butcher it at about 10 weeks or so when it tries to crow.. I will replace it with a hen the next time I see you.. DON"T name it..

I sold a few guineas to a nice couple from Antigo today.. How do I instruct them on how to get on BYC and then on the cheese heads.??. It has been so long since I subscribed, I forgot..

Garden picks as promised:

Straw bales are composting nicely. I put 3 tomatoes per bale and 3 broccoli per bale. Wire trellis over the tomatoes.

BTW... I love snakes and raised ALLOT of rats! Both Pet and feeder. I and my oldest had a pet store. LOL, sounds like you got the starts (or end) of one yourself!

Yellowstone was amazing!!!!! I highly recommend HWY 14/16 for entering and exiting..... Very nice as far as mountain roads go.

You can't get pics to post & I cannot get a single post to appear without a second one. And neither of us are getting our BYC notices. Neither is Frenchie. I don't think it is our computers, Jim. Hopefully it is a temp. glitch on BYC & will be corrected soon?

Zeke, there were 2 Hershey eggs in your mix. Not sure if they will be chocolate, though. One of her chicks looks like a black, like Hershey's daddy.

The #80 on the saddle didn't survive very long.
