I just had a call for Sylvia,, a friend of hers.. didn't know she died.. whoops !!

I got all the tomatoes hung and half of them trimmed.. took out the suckers and removed the bottom most branches.. found out that it is easiest to trim them before hanging them,, Yes, TerriO, I will take a picture.. then I watered everything in the GH.. really didn't need it too badly, but I felt like doing it.. the very last plants that I put in there are all just about doubled in size already.. good ole chicken chit ..

I sold 5 Orp pullets,, got a $10 tip because they were so nice..

have a lady coming for all of my guinea keets.. I think I have about 17 left..

the peacock people did not show or call.. big surprise , eh ??

the guinea lady is sort of looking for peacocks, so maybe she will take them with her keets..
I will give her a good price as long as she is here.. even if I have to throw in a cage to boot..

I put all of my laying hens on C L ,, If I do not get any hits on it, I have a Hmong couple's number who might want them for butchering.. I will give them a good price if they take all of them..

all I had to eat so far today was strawberry short cake.. just thought I'd throw that out there..

I had a nice wolf river apple tree once.. but after I planted my black walnut trees, they killed it and a couple of other trees, too.. I lost an Oak, a butternut and a couple of apple trees.. Plus a nice bed of aspergrass.. One blueberry plant is still struggling to survive .. It doesn't seem to hurt black berries..

it looks like the black berries and the raspberries are going to do good this year.. and we have our eye on a few elderberry bushes between here and town..

Hi guys! I am enjoying ducks! They will soon be headed to sissy's house :-(

Scott uses buckets for sap. 5 gal. He also has 30 gal drums with spickets. I would always be interested in selling some. Pm if interested


Bbl4, what are you doing with the duck wing? The neighbor brought a goose today. She is strong. But wing feathers are messed up. She can't quite fold it properly. Apparently since we have chickens, we know how to take care of a goose! Lol

My plan of action; try to tightly wrap it in position. That way if it is broke, it can heal correctly. Wait about 4-6 weeks. Remove wrap, open dog kennel, see if she flies away.

What do you guys think?

Doesn't seem to be dislocated... she can raise it up when she tries to scare you away
She is eating and swimming.

Would anyone lime to bring a camera and film our attempt? Teehee

the reason she cannot fly is maybe she is too fat.. many domestic geese do not bother to fly.

Hi all! I'm gonna go crazy.
Feel free to skip my ranting. lol
My mother is p***** at me because we MAYBE not going over there tonight for her last minute bday "party". She asked me last Sunday what I thought about her having some people over to her house for cook out, cake, Ice cream and smores by the fire and wine and If I was available. I said I gotta work till noon but then am "free" (in quotes because hubby and I are SUPPOSED to be working on the upstairs) about a half hour later I remembered that my DS8 was having surgery (tonsils/adenoids) on Wed. and may not wish to go any where on Sat. so I called her right back and told her we could be there IF my son was feeling up to it. She was P***** cause she already invited other people over. (like as if It can't happen cause we may not be there :rolleyes") so now here we are on the day and I told her that as of this morning DS doesn't wanna go. for pitty sake he hasn't REALLY eaten anything yet. just enough cream of wheat to sustain him and water and his meds all of which hurts to swallow. He's only got off the couch to go pee and went sat on my bed for a bit. he felt good enough to go outside and watch my other son jump his RC car but came back in totally exhausted. But she's still mad. and said "well it's been like 4 days!" (it's been 3 days). she lacks all compassion. She told my husband he should have been working on the upstairs while he was off of work after his surgery. I'm I the crazy one?? I don't think so... but apparently I'm the B****. IDK why, maybe cause I'm thinking of my son and not putting HER as top priority. I haven't even called her to tell her happy birthday cause when I called this a.m. she hung up on me. grrrr! sometimes I wonder why I even bother.


selling most of our critters, tired of spending the money and time. most likely keeping the goats. but the chickens and ducks are driving me crazy. We let them do the work this spring, only to have them kill all the babies.

Jim, it is a Canadian adult. If it had angel wing, wouldn't she have been born that way? She is fat and healthy. Just a wing that wont properly tuck. And broken, bent feathers.
She is wild, but I think something happened. If I could fix her up to fly away, thats what I'd like to do...
