I don't want 10 more geese you weirdos!!!!! I wanted advice on making sure I don't get violent and painful love bites from my goose in the future! (I am not going to turn into Frenchie the animal hoard.... Ummm... Collector...)

OOHHH! And good news: Julie's genetic results came in and there is no 'cancer gene'! So a lumpectomy is being scheduled; it could turn into a single masectomy if they discover that the tumor is spreading to the lymph nodes. So hoping and praying for a contained tumor.

Great news !!! I don't want to get you or her all shook up but my tumor was also "contained" but it was 5cm (2 1/2") No "fingers" on it. My mom asked if that was a good thing.... doctors reply.... It's like being a little bit pregnant !!! He then took out a pen and asked how many cancer sells I thought were in the tip of the ball point.... I don't remember what I said, hundreds or thousands.... and it was more like millions or billions ????? So in other words, they aren't going to be able to see if they "got it all" with surgery. Thus the reason for radiation or chemo I'm suspecting she will have. Plus the younger you are the more aggressive it can be. Mine was estrogen negative, meaning it didn't feed off of estrogen. So I didn't need tamoxafin. (sp) Mine was no doubt caused by the hundreds of xrays and CT's I received as a child during me two bouts with cancer. Do you know if she will be going on tamoxafin?
I am keeping Julie in my thoughts and prayers. It is a very tough decision for her to make to lose a breast as a young age (I was 30) but in the long run and as time passes and you get older you realize that you made the right choice. I have actually talked to my doctors about having the other one removed. My opinion is I'm sitting on a time bomb and just waiting for it to appear since I've had calcifications etc. Even if I'd want reconstruction I'd have to have it on the remaining one anyway. ET would be fine with it. Jut need to schedule it when I'm not so busy.
I'm sure they will do what is best for her situation. She is a beautiful person inside and out !!! Tell her I'm thinking about her and give her a big hug !!
