Bet the girls love it... kind of like the Rooster Bachelor Poster.... Which Roo will steal their hearts !!!!

I'm envious of your nice coop... Yep I'd say your girls are spoiled.... That did it.... I'm leaving all of my feathered friends to you !!!!! Maybe my small dogs too...... Ok, well Delisha and you will have to fight over the small dogs !!!!

Gonna go see if ET is rested up enough to go to the lake and check the fuse after I was eggs for the bar. Hmmm maybe I'll be able to talk him into a FFF...where is Bigz btw?
She would have to fight Joe too, and he fights dirty so I think she would loose

Frenchie, just read your post about the raw diet. I'm doing a 3 week restart/detox and then transitioning to a paleo diet. No grain, legumes (including peanuts), soy, sugar, dairy, alcohol, white potatoes, veg. oils (you can use coconut oil instead). This is so against the American way of eating! But I'm going to give it a try. Most likely I will lose weight, increase my energy, think more clearly, avoid future health problems and keep my youthful appearance. Lol.

I really want to buy a bar. And a local one had been put up for sale. But they want $390,000. I was thinking more like 250. I suppose I could make an offer.

So, the other day one of my customers and I were chatting about chickens and told her the story of how Colby Jack (the daughter's little bitty dog) put Danny Boy My roo) in his place and chased him around the yard. She tells me there's a song about that very scenario. I went to Itunes and looked up the Zac Brown Band and listened to a clip of "Sic' 'em On a Chicken" - what a hoot!! I just had to purchase it. Go to Itunes and give it a listen if you want to smile, though the rooster "getting what he deserves" is later in the song.

I think that has to be the post of the day! From healthy, life changing, no booze diet............to buying a bar!
Of course it makes sense...its how I've stayed married all these years!

Awwww Frenchie, so sweet! Only problem is you will probably outlive us all :hugs. Having a great looking coop is REALLY easy, by the way, all you need to do is just have 6 chickens and no other livestock :plbb. Believe me, when I lived outside Clintonville many (MANY) years ago with my milk goats, a Chambrea short horn milk cow, chickens and care taking the land lady's beef cows and horses, none of my out buildings looked that nice. Tho I wish I still had that coop! It was a century old and built of solid fieldstone about 6 ft wide and maybe 15 feet or so long with a 6 foot ceiling. Solid wood door on the south end, all along the east wall near the ceiling was a long row windows and on the west wall was something really cool. 2 feet out from the first wall was a second wall about 4 1/2 to 5 feet high running the full length. The space between the two walls was completely filled with sand almost to the top, leaving enough space for a good bed of straw. This was the nesting area! The floor was all sand. It hadn't been used in many years but all I had to do was a little cleaning, the whitewash was even still good, add fresh hay and a roosting ladder on the north wall that doubled as a roosting ramp and I was in business. The thing was so thick and so solid I never had a predator or varment problem and the thing stayed warmer in the winter than my old farmhouse. I always swore that if I ever bought a farm I would build myself one just like it.

I just had a big thick juicy cheeseburger off the grill, lettuce, mater, Miracle Whip (hey ya either are or aren't a MW fan). Taters in foil with sweet onion, ,,,,,my kinda summer diet

never owned a bar, never really wanted to(or is that too?),,,, made some mortgage payments on a few though

Chick coop is almost done. I have the whole bottom covered in chicken wire. Then on top of that, half is a plywood, the other part is already covered with grass. Is that all right?
