Hi all--it seems every time I reply I am the only one here! WHat is going on with this group anyhow? I am wondering if I made a mistake in not picking the basil today...it is kinda chilly out there right now...maybe I should get the frost blankets out?

My friends' daughter (son's classmate) was killed yesterday in a head on collision with a dump truck. I am still in shock. There are no details but it happened at 8:30 in the morning.

I am continually amazed by the double names here on Cheeseheads. I met another Connie and another Amy and another Sandy yesterday. So weird!

The woman whose farm I am helping at has some of her very nice Chantecers for sale. Here are a few pics: Also, to the person looking for Ancona ducks, she has a trio that she can sell to you.

If anyone else is interested just let me know.

I need to head out and get the chores done (and cover the basil I guess) It is our 29th anniversary today--only the Lord knows how we made it this long!

Happy Anniversary TO.
this is for you..
1 cup peanut butter 2/3 cup honey 1/2 cup coconut oil (no substitutes, this is what gives its creamy texture and flavor) 2 cups oats (not instant) 1 1/4 cups mini chocolate chips 3/4 cup dried cranberries Directions: In a medium sized saucepan, melt together peanut butter, honey and coconut oil. Remove from heat and add oats, chocolate chips and dried cranberries. Stir until combined and chocolate chips are melted. Spread into a 9x13 pan. Refrigerate until hardened, about an hour.

Oh CC, so sorry

I mean it. How old was he? Any ideas about the monster that attacked him?

Lazy day here too. Are yo ready for some football? Oh and I have to dig up my herb plants during half-time. Weather going to puke after today. It's ok, we're ready for hibernating. Hubby even made me a feed vault to go on the back porch yesterday right next to the door so now I don't have to trudge feed dishes back and forth thru the snow to mix warm mash this winter . Such a sweet hubby

I'm suprised you hadn't done this already? Didn't you say you had to chip ice out of your outside waterers not long ago? Or was that someone else? Congrats on the feed vault.

I hope you got your basil in and your garden covered, Terri. We have a frost advisory this evening.

I got my herbs potted up and in the garage today. I got the bed stripped, pulled out the flannel sheets and comforter and washed all the bedding. It's going to be so comfy sleeping tonight. DH must agree. Usually I can hear him snoring by now, but so far, not a peep.

Guess that's it. Sweet dreams, all!
