Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I just love the peace keeper i have..he comes running when ever there is a squabble and the fighters look around all innocent and you can almost hear them whistling.
I do have to keep him separate from the Black male..they scare me when they fight..I am sure i could let them battle and they will make a place to call home, but i find for my peace of mind I need to keep the black in his own area penned. My only forever penned male. Poor thing has never free ranged.

Since we were talking horses a lot lately I thought I'd share a pretty pic of three of mine.

Lisa, I love you pic, the progression of dark to light with the coloring of your horses is really cool.

Made some citrus blend lotion bars tonight for Julie's benefit. All packaged up in cute little tins so you can take them everywhere you go!

Can I say this?

Thanks Melissa! Glad your leaving that stressful job. Sounds like you have a crazy schedule!

Hi All!

Cuties.... Awww, poor Brownie just wants some lovin'!

TO.... good luck with the new ducks!

Amya..... Hope your friend makes allot of money for care!

BBP....Congrats on the hatch! Hope the "adoption" works! Sorry about the Cochin.

vickie...sorry about your roo duo. Hope you work something out.

LM.... Love running horses!!!

bl4... Congrats on reducing the stress!

Tommy the lost turkey was found! Somehow he got way in the back between our fence and the neighbour's electric fence. They are about 6' apart and he just kept going back and forth along our fence looking for a way in. I think he flew over from the compost pile, got on the low side and couldn't get back. Him and Tomtom are still squabbling, a couple of days they'll be all buddy buddy again.

Looks like Neil will be in rehab for at least another week. That's OK, I want him home in the best shape he can be in. It will also give more time to get his room in better shape. Since he's complained about their angle food cake so much, I baked him one! He'll get it Sat.

Guess that's it.... Night All!

Melissa, you sound even busier then me!!

Lisa, I adore that pic :)

Cind, what a nice mommy.

Irish, I also use a fish net on scotts turkeys. Asn gramma, they see it and run to where they need to be! Lol

Bbp, I had a feeling that would happen.

I hate it when they wont go in..my Silver laced Wyandotte male hides at night under the coop. He sleeps out every night and will not let me catch him by scooting under when he sees me.

I use a fish net to get a hold of a dodgey chicken!

Morning everyone :frow

YEP, I have a large landing net too but have never had to use it. Mine are such pigs that all I have to do is open the mailbox where I store their dried mealworms and they totally forget everything else.

LISA - thank you for all the great advice. I'm trying hard not to let my heart overrule my head but I am not sure yet whos winning. my only real concern about just keeping the little one is the three amigas already chase them around so I am not sure little pepper is healthy enough yet to handle the stress alone. They already went thru the whole squaring off thing (my first clue I probably had two roos) and he is now totally submissive to the bigger one but once they figure out what those girls are for? :cd I really just don't have room two roos and I know it and am not even considering keeping both, I just don't know about keeping the one. Guess I have a little time to decide since I haven't heard from Terri yet and really have no clue how to get them back to her.

I love the horse pic!!! Made me miss watching my own horses run when I was on the farm. Yours are some beautiful animals and look like they totally love where they are!!!

Cuties - yes, get that baby a goat! Easier to keep than another horse and they will become best buds.

Cindlady - so glad you found poor Tommy :D

Boy, my egg count is down to zero!!! I am really second guessing my decision to not use artificial lighting this year. Really thought my red sex-links would keep laying, at least into November!!!
