Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

With all this talk about roos and selling chickens I forgot to mention that on my inspection of the BLRW coop lastnight I finally got 4 eggs. Theirs 8 hens in that coop and I haven't gotten an egg from them in over a month with all this molting going on. Things are looking up and I can finally stop buying eggs from the store!!

I went out to take some pics but in my jammies the wind chill was too much.

Lavender or Blue I believe she's blue as he feather ends are dark based.

Black with the BO Bantam Roo in back ground

Silkie, Black and Mr P

White

Bandit-a chick out of the Partridge x

Red another chick out of the Patridge x. its comb is not messed up from birth, I had the heat bulb too close.

Partridge

The late Mr. P roo we lost

Also in my photos listed Chicks of 2013 all of them are for sale or free if anyone wanted to look at them.

Who said it could be so icky outside this morning! Thank goodness for hot coffee!

So, the devil is slowly emerging from the beast....... we will have to work on his toy possession issues..... he has not dared try to snap but lots of growling. He does let the object go when you tell him to drop it. The more you attempt to correct the more he protests....... so glad I have the assistance of a professional who deals with aggressive dogs!

Off today to watch the Veterans Day program. My oldest DS is playing taps.

A big THANK YOU to all our Veterans!!!!!!

Glad Big Red is making his way to Sclark via the chicken train. Who is on the next leg? Are there plans already?

We carried CC up the stairs of Terri's house BTW. The food and wine were good and I look forward to the next time.

FYI - Internet is out at home. I can check on my phone (which I hate) or at work, but I maybe delayed in responding until it is fixed.

I told you..you can borrow one..perhaps Hershey and her daughter can have a male for a few months next spring. You only need a dozen to hatch to have something to work with. I hatched out all males so far..go figure.

well I liked my idea so much better on how to get her up the stairs. We still should have tied her to the dogs and let them pull her up. TO had that nice sled..toss her in and halter the dogs to the pull strap..would have been fun for all.

Sounds like you all had a great time at TerriOs. Sad that I had to miss it because of my trip

. I make homade booze as well. I have some hard cider still brewing from my trees. It's going to be yummy!

Just John, I thought hard about that Turkey, but decided I don't have a good way to transport him. I have a rooster with an appointment on Tues and thought I could get both done. What kind is he and how old?

Lisa
he is about 5 months old I think. The Buff Orpingtons he was raised with have not begun laying yet.

He is a Broad breasted bronze.

I went out and picked him up yesterday. He is between 27-30 pounds I am now guessing. Raised on Wild Game starter and All Flock
