wow, it's later than I thought it was..

cuties, I am not going into bantams cause I think they are neat.. I am looking for some small birds to cook for thanksgiving so everybody will get their own individual chicken..

the puppies are starting to walk.. it looks like a party of drunk sailors .. Dora is at the point where she does not have to lay down to nurse them,, she only has to walk close and they swarm under her.. and you never heard so much barking and growling .. what an unruly bunch ..

time to check my emails and then finish my Sangria and head to bed..

Jim.... we HAD one of those hoses that shrivels when not in use. Does not take being run over when full well.

BigZ... How many people were you feeding with 4 lbs of catfish? Thar's allot of fish.

TO.... voted.... you got allot of catching up to do! Better get to campaigning!

Jim, I am jealous of you and those puppies! Are you planning to train them to go poo on newspaper? Sounds like they currently have run of the place then I won't be jealous when they start running all over and getting into everything!
Cind, I had one of those too. It never even got run over. And h ad a hole the first use! The idea was amazing. Too bad it wasn't more durable.
Normally hubby does morning chores. Not today :/ guess I should get out there...

It does not feel too bad out this morning..it did not hurt to breath at least..I hope we are headed for some decent weather..at least above 20 would be nice.

Jim, the pups are so cute and growing fast..I wish they were LGD's.

TO the front left is the true "black olive egger" I havw, the one behind is my Americauna... Your 3 experiments are the ones next to the dark brown "Mottled Java" on the right. with slight green tinge will keep you posted. I can not recall the bands though. Everyone is ramping up though... 9 girls and these 12 in 3 days...
Something though is up my Barred Rock seems to have quit laying about a month ago... finding yolk/white but no evidence of shells one day this week... need to install a camera to figure this mystery out... If there was an egg eater dont think she would just pick one hens eggs... just hope not laying shell-less, she seems healthy in every other way

Is there anyone in Southern WI that sells quality BOs?

I have 8 hens and would like a rooster, I also would be ok with buying straight run or even hatching eggs.

Bigzo - your fish fry dinner sounds wonderful. Yum!!

I have a buff Orp rooster that i would part with. He is true in that the folks I got the eggs from have never had any other breed of bird and are on like their 3rd generation from the original flock. He is pretty except for the frost bit comb. He is calm and not aggressive(like you would expect). I would post a photo if you like. I am also near the stateline.

Dora was trained with sheep .. the farmer thought she was not doing her job.. so he got rid of her, then he began losing sheep to the coyotes.. Then wished he had her back .. He was first in line for one of her last puppies.. Still has her and she is doing fine..

ir is nice to watch,, the farmer comes here a few times a year.. Dora still knows him and just goes nuts happy to see him..

Cuties, the puppies are still staying on their blanket, but it won't be long until we will be putting up barricades .. I like to pick up a random puppy and hold it while I watch TV.. they are so cute when they yawn and go to sleep ..

going to get rid of my last turkey hen today.. trading for 3 bales of hay.. should happen at 4PM..

Sunny Morning To Everyone.... yep, just a bunch of pigs here Cind. Only one fillet left, and that will be a fish sandwich or two before the day is over. It was just me and suzie at the trough of fish.

Walked down the driveway to check the mail this morning....couple turkeys were in a big oak and flew over my head and headed toward the corn pile. They prolly didn't like being chased from their sunny perch. Didn't have any mail in the box....dang...coulda saved myself the cold walk.

I've been thinking about sauerkraut the last couple days...think I'll take another quart out of the freezer. I can eat it a fork full here and there all day long...good stuff. I must be craving something a little salty. I bought some habanero corn nuts at fleet farm....those will take your breath away and numb your tounge with just a small handful....good stuff too!
