Afternoon Everyone.....went to Clintonville to pick up the tax returns and then to the local mill for some more corn to feed the wild turkeys. It's nice to see the price drop some more...now it's 12.50 per 100lbs....that will bring the price of layer down quite a bit...thank goodness for that.
I scraped the windows in the coop this morning to let the sunshine in....it was funny to see bigz stand in the ray that was coming in..I think he was looking like taking a nap! He is not happy with this cold weather at all...kinda like me...LOL!
We made the last half breast of wild turkey from last spring...TO it was really tender and delish. The 4 cups of broth that are left will be used when I make oatmeal for the flocks the next 2 days....they will like the flavor for sure, and nothing gets wasted here. We just can't eat that much gravy, if we woulda used it for that.... even though it does make the best. I'm on a diet....
