The ladies from Winter tried to buy call duck hatchings eggs from me. I want to know how they can have an NPIP "hatchery" if they're buying uncertified eggs from people, hatching and selling them? I have heard some bad stories about them. Apparently, if you complain to them about their chicks they will cut off all connections with you. Block you on FB, etc.

well then, in that case, if they check in here a lot of us are going to be blocked.

I just placed my first ever bid on RBA. These chickens and ducks are getting real expensive.

So there are no agencies to report these people to? I would think the State and the Feds would like to know about this little operation. There must be some kind of regulation they are in violation of.......

My friend reported the one place (in Woodville). The police went out and checked conditions and the state vet is supposed to stop out also.

Margie Proost at 608-224-4877 or email to [email protected]v this is the person you need to file a complaint with. I dealt with her last year, but likely they won't do anything. Theirs only one inspector in our area is what I gathered and he's from New Auburn. I have his number also somewhere if anyone is very interested I'll find it or you can just ask Margie for it.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease, if need be go higher up the chain of command. Enough complaints roll in and enough of a stink is made the state will step in.

whoever files a complaint better have some real evidence and be willing to go the distance ..

NPIP is not there to help the small guy,, it is big brother.. they depend upon snitches to point fingers,, just like the Nazi regime did in Germany ..

Lol. NPIP/Nazis?! When they are selling sick birds to unknowing people and the chicks all die or, in some cases, their existing flock is killed by these carrier birds, someone needs to speak up. Some people just don't know any better. These "hatcheries" shouldn't be claiming to be disease free when they are not. And they shouldn't be making money on birds that they know full well are going to die. I had a lady pick up lavender orp chicks on her way to buy from these ladies. I told her that if she mixed those birds and mine died, I wasn't replacing them. She didn't go there that day. I can't wait to go there mid-summer and take pictures of the conditions. Then I will post them all over Facebook.
