What are the state regs for trapping/shooting fox? We've seen a big one run through here near the chickaroos and our renter has seen it 3 other times during the day. No problems yet but it makes me a bit nervous. (I think the hubs would enjoy sitting up one night with the shotgun on his lap!)

Dang rain just won't quit here....the weeds are taking over fast in the gardens.

Sorry about your call duck bl4...yep, I've managed to secure next year...thanks for all your help and the others that pitched in with both hands! The team effort is the only way it is able to continue.

Wanted to fry outside, but the weather is iffy at best.....simple baked Pollack and sweet potato fries and fresh leaf salad from the garden....If you want some bl4...it's a mixed heirloom variety of leaves, that we rinse and spin in the salad spinner...it's ready to cut now....prolly a small meat tub full....just offering for free.

The big butternut that hung up when we knocked her down...finally went down. Started cutting it today...the rest will need to be split in the woods...to big to load without splitting.

My brahma roo is finally moving around to the front of the house...getting his feet after a lot of nudging....

Just got back from the brat taking is out. To BK, oh well. Then I got back and instead of helping me finishing the condos SO laid down for a nap! I haven't had time to sit down for more than 5 minutes all day long and my back is breaking!!! I'm SOOO upset right now...

Better settle down some, gotta rally up the duckies and let them have their evening swim in the pool before lockdown. Gosh, I could scream! Or shoot things with a paintball gun...

No we haven't....we need to level it better. Plus with first the septic tank flooding the basement, then the coop flooding, and now tonight coming home to a pipe leaking downstairs and flooded again-doesn't look like it will be this or even next weekend. However, just asked chicken ship and he thought it was 5 bags?????

Thanks Judy, I forgot about all your water problems....don't ever want them again. We had 3 feet of water in our basement at the house in Racine. Thankfully it was clean fresh water. Have the water bill to show it. Amazing the damage water can do.

BBP, wow hope you find out who's doing it. I think my predator is a fox. The neighbors have coyote hunts around here. They've said they've seen fox around.
They are so pretty. Don't know if I could shoot one. If it killed one of my pets other than a feathered one I might !
Couldn't shoot a dog though as ticked as I would be. Rather have the cops fine the people.

For the first time I think your feed bill is higher than mine Jim.... but then I don't sell mine so I still might have you beat !!

Wildsam, I take it the Brat is your son or step son? I must have missed your posts about the brat while I was absent.

Wish this rain and chilly weather would pass. I need to crawl in my duck shelters and fetch the over due eggs. Obviously not going to hatch. I will have to candle them all now because there could be some fresh and fertile ones now....

The cop told us if we shoot a dog call him. He'll bring it to the owners. But if we can catch it, they'll get a $100 fine and have to pay for all of my dead birds. I'm leaving them all locked up tomorrow and putting the trail camera on the coop. If its coyotes they are horrible hunters. This was definitely a case of killing for fun. One of my chickens had a broken wing and the bone was protruding through the skin. I had to have my husband kill it. Poor thing It's on! I want whatever did this dead. We will be having a big coyote hunting party if that's what it turns out to be. The killing is happening between 8 am and Noon so we will be on the lookout this weekend.
