Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

DH mentioned again that I might get horses some day at the new place and where would I like to put the stalls. I have not mentioned getting horses in the last 8 years, and seriously since we found the new place. Maybe he wants horses now, and is trying to make it my idea. Which makes sense, since I am now completely over that idea; yah, I wanted to get horses 12 years ago when we were looking at buying our first place 15 years ago.
So how is the horse market in WI? They are real cheap to buy out here in WY.

good afternoon,

thanks, one likes to be patted on the back once in awhile..
I am happy at the way the slope turned out.. like I wanted it to, but I didn't know if I could pull it off..

Now I have to find some grass seed that will grow on a rock..
have to measure the actual sq/footage first..
I trimmed a couple more branches.. have another pile to bundle up and haul to the burn pile..
Next winter after we get some snow, watch for the glow in the distance,, that will be my burn pile going up in smoke..

ended up with 9 keets out of 14 eggs.. not bad for guineas.. especially from a stolen nest ..

I will be transferring them out to the brooder pen today..

Cind, is it possible that your turkey has a nest somewhere ? they can hide pretty good..

Fish Fry Friday All....tonight the outside cooker is set up for ho-made fries, and walleye filets from bago....my friend Rick sent me home with a big frozen bag when I went to visit him....they will be good for sure....along with bacon broccoli salad and a few tall cold ones.

Congrats with the CC education....make sure you cross every T and dot every I on your application....the price went down from $50 to $40 for 5 years.....I would stay away from a gun salesmen telling you it's light to carry....while that is true ...they are terrible to shoot...don't do it....look at S&W... M&P compact model....$500 but worth it....it will feed and run when you need it most....I carry the full size model and love it... I depend my life on it. Cheap guns are cheap guns. If it goes click when you need it most, the few extra dollars mean nothing at all....plus it is a fun gun to practice with....minimum cal should be 9mm and 40cal is better in my opinion. The ammo isn't that much more.

I used golf balls bbp....it did the trick...thanks for the kind offer.

Grass needs cutting....I'll bet it still needs cutting tomorrow too...LOL!

Peace..bigz

bigzio - that is my handgun of choice, I like that the grip can be changed out to a smaller size for my girl hands. I have the 40, the 22, and the Shield in 40. I was trying to find a 9mm, but got sidetracked by the Shield. I will find a 9 mm someday, they seem to be out of stock on the 9 whenever I am in the store looking...

Walleye fillets sound good...

That's nice to hear wyo....the M&P line is worth the money..plus you get 2 mags with it as well as a lifetime warranty....just call them with your problem and they send you a shipping label to send the gun in for fixing....I've had zero problems over all the years...even with a sigma model that I have .

You gotta love cute!

Nice afternoon here...it's gonna be a wonderful Fish Fry Friday.

Oh ya, I forgot to mention about the S&W...they are made in the USA! Good way to support our American workers.

good afternoon,

I am not against guns, and I am not against CC ..

but there are a few things people should think about..

first,, are you willing to shoot someone ? think hard about that.. If you hesitate, the CC is useless.

second, anybody within 30 feet of you with as little weapon as a knife or a baseball bat, is almost equal to your CC gun..
since the theory is for protection, anything over this distance is questionable unless you are being shot at..

3rd, you do not need a cannon like a 9MM or a .45 Cal. to stop a human.
humans are one of the weaker animals on the planet,, all you have to do is poke a hole in them just about anywhere and they are generally subdued ..
don't underestimate the little .22..

if you plan to carry, practice practice practice,, spraying bullets all around and missing your mark will not save your little arse..

I measured the newly reclaimed lawn.. 2400 square feet..
