Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I was painting the living room tonight and my soon yells at me to come outside. There was a critter up by the front door behind the planters and the dog and the cat were working together to catch it. I thought it was another chipmunk. But it was making this terrible sound. My husband thought it was a rat. So, I moved the planters. It was a weasel.
Did they catch it?

Was at the neighbors the other day talking with one of his friends. He has a weasel in his basement that was taking socks and had them all tucked in around a storage tub. He didn't take matched pairs. lol
Now he thinks he may have patched up the hole so it can't get out. It was hilarious listening all the stories he had with this little weasel. He dosen't have other pets so no scare there...just kids.

When and where is this chicken show? I would like to find some peafowl.thanks at a reasonable price.
My n sigh or is looking for a basset hound. Can be up to a yr old and good with kids. Sex doesn't matter. I'll be a good home.

Cuties. There are tons of good dvd's to use for bombproofing. Have you thought of using any of the natural horsemanship methods ?
I love and Linda Parelli. I have some dvd's and I also have some dvd's for driving training minis and horses. 0 me if you'd like to borrow them. They say if you can't do it on the ground you won't be able to do it on the horse. That is so true. Love, language and leadership....in equal doses.
You'll be surprised how once your horse settles in and you've earned his trust what a difference there will be. They will be less fearful once they Acknowledge you as the leader. Just take it slow. Also some days just go out and sit with him or just groom him. Don't make every interaction where he thinks he is going to be worked.
I am so happy for you and your kids. Horses and pony are so much fun...we are donkeys! Lol

Jim what breed is Frances? Is she fixed?my
My ducks are living this rain. 1/4 of my round pen fills up deep enough for them to swim. So cute to watch. I love my ducks even if I have about 50 to many.
Well under the influence of ambien. Have to get up early to babysit the neighbor boy. We love him like a grandson.

Did they catch it?

No, they didn't catch it. The dog was out there torturing it for about an hour. I could have hit it with something a couple of times, but didn't. What a cute little sucker. Unfortunately, 3 of my pens are not weasel proof. So I had to move some chickens around. I still have two roosters that are in unsafe accommodations, but its either that or cock fights. So I'll take my chances.
Oh, and my son brought the rabbit in the house to protect it.

gppd ,prmomg.. OR good morning when my fingers are on the right keys..

Sandi, Frankie is a female, unfixed , Maremma .. a year and a half old.. I will take pictures when it is a bit more comfortable outside..

Good move, taking the rabbit inside..

I hope you don't have to regret not smacking that cute weasel with a shovel.. maybe the traumatic experience will convince him to move on..

my sister took me bowling for my birthday present from her,, In return, I whipped her all four games.. this week is her birthday,, maybe I will take her bowling and she can whip me back..

I am going to do some picture re-arranging and deleting .. I have to have Kalib give me another course in making files..

I don't think we had frost last night,, I think all the wetness saved our arsses .

thanks for all the birthday wishes..

Happy belated bday Jim and cind! And good frosty foggy morning. Cause yes, over here we had frost and the water was frozen over, even a bit more than I thought it would. The hose nozzle is still frozen tho.

Got surprised by our Alaskan Snow pheasant lady to hatch 6 out of 7 chicks 2 days ago! Figure the surprise when we saw them! Of course the Ringneck male saw them too. Killed one (we couldn't find it) and injured 2 more (one passed this morning) that we could safe. I think the other injured one has either a torn muscle or out of the socket from being dangled on his foot. The other 3 and momma are inside in a cage now doing good.

The brat is supposed to come this weekend, SO is sick and my right hand is pretty much out of commission. Oh the joy of all that! Anyone wanna come over and help?

FT, didn't know you have a ton of ducks too! What kind you got?

Guess I'm trying to make breakfast now. Asta luego.

good afternoon, still waiting for the people to show up for their chickens.. they have to travel almost 10 miles to get here by noon.. 2:22 and still not here..

Ta Daaaa!!
Here she is,, Frankie,, my new unfixed female Maremma .. 1 1/2 years old..

..........jiminwisc.......

here are the "twins"..
she usually has her tail curled like that..
she will remain tied up for awhile yet.. I am not too concerned about her wandering off. but I want to walk the perimeter with her a few more times yet..
she is used to being tied .. but eventually I want her to roam the property..

I just sold 28 young chickens to two different parties.. 22 & 6..
the last person was a boyfriend to my neighbor's daughter, just a mile south of me..
He said that neighbor has 6 wolves on his trail cam..
that should take care of the coyote problems the neighbor between us was having ..

so far I have had no problems with either,,

Wow Jim, she sure is beautiful! And very good thi g yoj have lgd :)
Frenchie, I am unsure of all the natural horsemen ship training. With Brownie, i definitely learned they are a lot different from training my dogs. With them, they do what I expect. Because I expect it. With the horses, I have learned it is a lot about positive reinforcement. Thunder has had most of his training from a young girl. She is like us. Expected respect. But also had no idea how to teach all of the fancy steps. What he Lready is is what we want. He does need some more decensitising (sp). I would lovento have a see of the videos. We are also going to take a few classes so we have the basics down. He is good at taking care of his rider. If he feels you slip he slows or stops. He is loving.
I did read that you should not approach only whe. You are going to work. He free roams with Brownie. And is getting quite used to us just walking up for pets and apples :) they said he was often hard to catch. But we have only had thT a few times here. I think that because Brownie has always seen us as his "herd" Thunder is more accepting of us.
He is for ssure a follower. And I need to be sure I always practice riding away from Brownie. I can tell that he would easily become buddy sour.
Got a nice visit with Zeek today. And were sent home with two little kitties! Blake had a wonderful birthday. And spent lotsnof time riding his 4-wheeler.
I still feel tired from all the twelves. And my body is not used to riding every day! Thunder loves when I give him a little massage after riding. Wish he could return the favor!! Lol
I know hubby is having a rough day :( it is opening bow season. And he is not up north. Because he did not want to miss the bday. He has been edgie for sure!!
