Good evening all! WOW--I cant even begin to address all the news shared on here! THe family is at the hockey game so I have a few moment to myself--
I just finished boiling and peeling 3 dozen button eggs (or so) and putting them into a vinegar solution to make my friend some pickled egg for her Martinis! Wow, my thumbs are sore from peeling! The coolest thing though...the eggs are brown and spotted and when you peel them the insides are BLUE! Blue like Robin's egg blue! So pretty! I ate a few of the tiny eggs that didnt peel well...MMMM they are very tasty!
I am enjoying the quiet and a Sam Adam cream stout that my GF got me for my birthday...we went to this store that I could pick my own 6 pack. I am going to enjoy every one of them myself too...probably NOT all tonight though!
Hey last night I did a fun thing with my son...I was watching ME TV (M*A*S*H, Mary Tyler Moore, Cheers and then The Bob Newhart Show!) So I was thinking about in college when we played "BOB the drinking game" so me and my son played it! I think I had a hangover this morning too! AACK! It seemed like we drank way more in college though...I think I must have forgotten some of the rules...definitely a good thing!
So
to all the newest additions! New chatters and new babies! (and soon to be babies) Pretty soon we are going to have to find a park for our 2nd annual BigZio Bash! And the start the planning! It will be here before we know it and I am so looking forward to seeing everyone again!
Gotta head outside now...I gave the chickens some snacks and noticed that they had dumped their water AGAIN! I have to figure out some other place for the ducks to go...they are making a big mess out of my coop. Oh one thing I remembered...the frostbite on the combs...it is mostly from too high of humidity in the coop and lack of ventilation; not actual cold (according to information elsewhere on this site) The frostbitten points will drop off and the roo will be fine and next year his points wont freeze cause they are gone! I dont think it makes them look ugly...they just look kinda like they were dubbed. My Anconas will be affected severely I think--they have such tall pointy combs! And you are right Amyable...they are wild fellas!
Good night and sweet dreams everyone! Terri O
ETA: The geese I have dont fly (much) They can get off the ground for short distances but not really fly like wild ones do. If you want eggs or goslings in spring I will have 'em! They are Toulouse and are also very delicious!
DA) I cried so bad after the lady left the room, and cried on the way home, and then cried in bed for like an hour. I guess I was just so bummed because it was such a hard pregnancy thus far, I was really hoping I could blame it on a girl!! lol. I'm pretty much over it, although I may cry a few more times to try and get hubby convinced to give me one more shot
He says hes going to get snipped right after I have this one!! So, if I can convince him for one more try, it's it turns out to be another boy, then i'll deal with it lol. I wanted more than 2, so indirectly I will be getting what I wanted! Another baby! lol.
Trying to pick a name...we are thinking Dominic, Diangelo, Milo, Hunter....I think it's between those 3. The first two are Italian, which I like...but I have this weird liking for Milo! It just seems so...innocent!
ETA: I have pictures of him looking towards us, but she scaled in too much and got the skeleton and it looks too creepy for me, rather than "cute" lol. He kept looking to where her sensor was and was like "What are you doing?!"

Good Morning Everyone! WELCOME! DTR So many new people this year. Raiquee I hope you trimmed his nails!
TO Happy belated Bday!!! I was just thinking this morning about the Bash, would like to find a place that's a little more accessable. Bigz what's the story on the camp? ODrH have to agree with everyone, that is a very cute dog and her pups! Didn't put enough wood in the stove last night Brrr! It'll warm up soon. Bigz I always have boughten cracked corn but thought about it, thats what a gizzard is for. What a dummy! Better get movin here. Stay warm!
Hello all. Chillly morning and I have horse hooves to trim today.
Of course can't be nicer.
Oh Raiquee- when I found out I have having another girl I did the same thing. Cried and Cried. Then I married DH who has two girls of his own and now between the two of us we have 4 girls. That is a really cute picture. Oh and the doc probably not do the snip for your DH. I know I wanted to after my second daughter and the doc wouldn't let me because of my age. I know when DH tried to at 27 they told him he would have to wait until he was 30.
Hurley- OMGosh! I want Bubbles! She is beautiful. What you doing with her puppies?
Busy day today. Lots of running around. Well have a great day everyone!
Thanks for the compliments, Bubbles is a pretty girl, just like her mommy. As to the pups, I don't need another blue merle dog (one stud dog in the house is enough), so will be selling them. The little black girl I don't know if she will make it. She's so tiny. She's pretty weak this morning, so she's in the incubator (had cleaned it up post-hatching, but still warm and set for the next round - perfect) to warm up and then I'll see if she'll bottle feed.
For grins, here are photos of mom and dad.
