and who knows when the cats away maybe the mice will be able to play. LOL
All I ment was no matter where it is I will be driving a couple hours to get there. When I did look at the map though, Point was in the middle, so why not there?
I agree with WCc- that if we go to the church camp, maybe we shouldn't bring horses. I probably won't anyway just because I don't want to babysit them and not have any fun. Plus I will have all the kids and that is just way to much. I will bring some chicks though. Gives me a reason to hatch somemore. Oh and I think if that weekend works we should agree on that too.
Ok I'll stop being difficult. Whatever is decided, I'm in!
Long day today, I know it sounds stupid and I will probably get a couple people rolling eyes but, my birthday is a month away, and I'm not handling it well. I'll be 30. Gosh that sucks to write even. I not really sure why I'm struggling with it but I am. If it's this hard at 30, what will it be like at 40. Oh heaven help me through it. Ok again, I'm done. Everyone have a great night!

Becky... its really not that big of a deal. I just turned 40 almost a year ago.. once you get past the milestone.. it will seem not a big deal at all!!
I think it helps if you don't celebrate your birthday until its warmer out, that is what I do. My birthday is on the 21st of this month.. too cold, its always too cold for my b-day.
SO I celebrate it in a warmer month, like May!!
AND you are only as old as you think you are..
I say I am celebrating the 12th anniversary of my 29th birthday!!!

I went through a major meltdown when I turned 29, because I only had one year until 30. Things got crazy around here. I was going out with my younger friends all the time and just being stupid. Luckily that wore off and now things are back to normal. I'll be 31 this March and it's no big deal. I think 50 is my next dreaded birthday.

Glad you didn't take offense Becky cause I was just teasing you ya know. I think the birthday I struggled the most with was when I turned 5. The world was mine for the taking but I was still fillin my pants on occasion so I couldn't go very far. WICc that's my oldest DD's Bday too!

YAY PACKERS!!!!!!!

I couldn't have been the only one to have told them they needed an interception that last minute!? I'm here in Ca., but luckily I have quite a few friends that like to see me happy, so when the 49ers were out of the running, they happily jumped over to our side

. Of course, there are quite a few WI transplants out here as well (one of my Packer compadres brought me back a couple bumper stickers the last time he visited WI.), so we all had a great WHOOP on that last play!
Of course, we'll all need to send out those positive vibes when we play Atlanta!

Anybody want me to hatch out some calls for the chickenstock just send me a PM beforehand and I will get the incubator fired up for you!!!

Jordan Park in Point is wonderful, BUT it is LOADED with poison ivy and I mean LOADED. There is ivy all along the shorelines where you would fish and it infests the sides of the trails across the road where one would like to get onto the rocks in the river. We had a cookout there last summer and I was a wreck making sure the kids did not get into the stuff and then rub all over me! The last thing I need is another round on steroids!

Lake Emily is beautiful; has a swimming beach, playground equipment, lodges, and fishing areas plus camping!

Lake DuBay is a bit farther north but with the same facilities....

If you do decide on Portage county I have a source for campfire wood. My inlaws live in the county......

Oh 30 is not bad....... my big bro turns the big 4-0 tomorrow!

Dr. HA HA Just wanted to thank you for the supplies, Your Chickens were great to see and you have tons!!! Now I have to read up on raising chicks, I was planning pullets but what the heck. When you get more info on the Chicken gathering, Let me know, I am sure my neighbor who already raises chickens would love to come, and she is much better looking than I am.

David.

Hey all,

I haven't commented on the whole chickenstock cause I'm not sure if i'll make it. June will be crazy time for me (newborn baby, new job) that i'm not sure it would be wise. We'll see as time draws closer though. Whereever you guys pick will be fine if I do come up, as i'm sure it will be a drive no matter what!

I made Ina's outrageous brownies. I hate her show, because she reminds me of someone so stuck up and able to cook all day for her husband and blah blah blah. Something just doesn't sit right with me and her, she seems housewife-ish in that...annoying and stuck up way. Anyways, I made her shrimp and orzo one time, and my god was it good. All her stuff LOOKS good, but she uses some expensive ingredients sometimes!! (okay a lot of the time) So I had always liked the idea of her brownie recipe, and after trying her shrimp and having it come out awesome I thought why not tonight? All I needed was a little extra butter. Well, it's sitting and cooling right now. Makes 2 full brownie pans of brownies, so i'm going to freeze half of the batch. Tastes pretty dang good too, but they are still molten hot. lol.

Got my first seed catalog in the mail today, got some good prices on raspberries and blueberries. I get so up in arms over raspberries/blueberries/strawberries etc, cause we eat so much of them and they are so danged expensive!

On the house front, what me and hubby eventually want to do is buy a good solid chunk of land, and build on it. However, thats not in the cards right now, thats for a home where we want to stay put for awhile (if not forever!) Hes just frustrating sometimes. Ah well, I love him.

I'm not thinking the place I was talking about will work, cost wise. something about $10 - $40 a site per night ($10 being a tent site and $40 being a cabin that sleeps like 12) and to rent that hall/kitchen is $15 a day ? I think. no horses but they would allow critters in cages. IDK!

about the dreaded birthdays, I'm 29, have been for 3 years now! LOL!
