I HATE house shopping with hubby *rips hair out* we can do anything together, but buying a house is a totally different story. He doesn't care at all about the house, it could be a shack for all he cares. He just cares about the land. I on the other hand, care about the land but also the house! We have two little ones and I'll be darned if hes moving us into a SHACK that we have to fix up!!! I don't mind having to do some work on a house, but he also needs to understand that we need to be able to move in and maybe not do anything for awhile due to the fact we will have little ones. Really what we need is a million freakin' dollars so I get a gorgeous house and he gets an crap loada land. UGH!!!!!!!!!

I love him but gosh darn it we are going to be living in seperate houses soon!

I told him that I want to work on this houses renovations with him and I don't want his dad helping. He got all defensive. Ok, his dad put in a lot of flooring (and we have gaps along the walls, gaps where it meets new flooring and did I mention it's 3 different colors? UGH! Now we get to fix that. His dad is a 90%, and it pisses me off!!! And not to mention, it's our house now. His dad can't come to help us for the life of him without -telling- us what to do, which I listen to him but he doesn't understand that we get the end say in it. I don't want that added stress after having a baby, trying to move, trying to sell and having to deal with DH and his dad fighting over everything (which they do!).

Sorry I just had to rant. And rip my hair out!

Raiquee- my problem with my DH is almost the opposite. I would be happy to live in a shack ON LAND... enough for the horses and chickies!!
We both want a small house, but he wants in or near town/city.. I want a bit further out.

In regards to the bash. I agree with Terri and amyable that camp is everything we are looking for. It kinda sounded like Doc thought it would work also. All the other options have more rules than camp does. If you guys decide to go with the camp. I'll pick up the $30 tab for sunday. That way anyone who has to drive can stay overnight, or both nights making the bash more than a couple hour event.

Bigz the camp looks and sounds great but don't know about the others traveling so far that would be the only drawback I can think of. Put us down for where ever we end up.

Talked to the BFF their going camping sometime in June. He started out telling me it was sometime in the first 2 weeks then the second time I talked to him it was the third week I told him to ask his wife then let me know.

What a guy! But I gotta love him!

We have options. bl4 whats the story on the fairgrounds? Did I understand that right Bigz the whole weekend, check in on fri. after lunch till sometime sun. for $80 including use of the facilites for everyone? If so WOW! Don't know how that could possibly be topped. If it comes to that we'd definitley be there at the end to help clean up. We're good cleaner uppers!

Thanks for the clean up gesture Doc....I'll be there with ya if that's the case. I'll also take you guys to pickeral point and go gill fishing along shore, if anyone wants to. It's a city park and one can fish along the banks if the gills are spawning. Some years me and Suzie catch 400 or so there during mid june to mid july. Depends on the weeds along shore. The city is fighting with the DNR because they told them they could no longer use the weed cutter that they kept the weeds under control with. I guess it was disturbing the sediment on the ponds bottom.

Yes that was me, and thanks for the PM on it.

Just trying to figure out what legalities I need to address and what the options are for selling chickens/eggs, local, in-state, and out-of-state, plus requirements on testing to be able to show birds. I plan to find some shows to go to and learn about the ins and outs. Just thinking in advance. Sounds like shows often have for sale birds, etc.

I would like to show some in the future and am wanting to get a flock of Iowa Blues going and would like to be able to share them to diversify the genetics and increase the numbers. Would like to be able to sell/give to 4H kids for projects, etc. Would like to be able to sell eating eggs locally.

Just don't know the the law on the subject. What you can and can't do without anything special. What you do need the Wisconsin program and/or NPIP for.

Trying to dredge up the info by searching, but this forum is so huge and the search engine is not as helpful as I would like.

Hi all. Well didn't go ice skating, the hockey team was playing, so we went bowling instead. Was alot of fun. It's nice when we can all do something that everyone likes.
Well was reading about the bash and , not that the camp that bigzio wasn't nice, but maybe we could go alittle further south? For Hurley it's a 3 hour drive and 5 for magoochie. I was just thinking at maybe somewhere like portage, oshkosh, kewauskum? I don't know it's just a thought and if we already are booked for the bash at the camp I'm ok with it. Was just thinking of the people further south. Terri- I'm in regardless as to were it is. Don't know how many of us will be there but I'll for sure be there. Maybe if it's just me I'll bring a horse.
Raiquee- I understand. I wouldn't want to house look with my DH either. In the future we will build and so far have similar ideas, but we'll see when the time comes if we can still agree.
