Yep, my kids did their laundry as soon as they were able too. Though, I do Neils now just because he can't do the steps (3) and the basket of laundry at the same time.

Interesting morning so far. I was on my way to work and I came up over a hill to see a medium size dog just sitting in the middle. (I know this is technically a mistake but) I tried to hit the brakes. Our roads are pure ice as they do not salt our areas ever so once it settles in it's here until Spring. I went sideways and just barely missed. I got out with my flashlight to double check and a Golden Retriever came running out from the opposite side of the road as this cow farm I was passing. He growled at first and I thought my only defense is a dang flashlight. But in a second he ran up to me butt wiggling haha I know the Retriever is from the cow farm as I pass him waiting at the bus stop with a little girl usually, but today there is no school. I'm not so sure about the other dog, but I didn't see it after that. Now I'm going to be thinking of the medium dog all day.
Why can't I encounter roaming dogs in the Summer? Last Winter I drove around with a Blue Heeler for an hour trying to find it's home. Makes me feel extra glad my two don't run off though

BayBay--sounds like you are a rescuer at heart. (I am too) My Dad used to say if there was a stray within 5 miles of our house I would bring it home. I always remembered how sad the dogs looked when I had to call the Humane society to come and get them...I guess that is why I do rescue now too. Hey, Check our Jrspupsnstuff.org maybe you can foster with us or do home visits--sometimes we need some that are far away. PM me!

it says -14 on my thermometer on the porch but the weather is saying -5. I think that thermometer has blown off the porch one too many times...it sure doesnt seem too accurate anymore.

Cancelled my haircut for this morning--I just want to stay in and I dont have to be to work until 2! Maybe I can do some housework? Nah!

good morning,
seems like everybody beat me up today..
I was outside without a jacket.. it felt like summer.. no wind makes the difference..

I learned how to not do laundry .. just screw it up so bad that I am not allowed to do it...
It is not as bad these days, but back in the day, pink "whites" happened when you mix colors with whites.. and you can't run rubber pants through the wringer..
I can just hear some of you younger people,, "what's a wringer ?"

Right now we aren't equipped for fosters. We have two dogs right now, but I mentioned to my SO that once they've passed (hopefully not for a while) it is something I would like to seriously look into. I will definitely check out the website though! Never know where I could try and help

Cind, I see that Tony Romo...quarter back for the Cowboys is from Burlington. I never Knew that, or I forgot I knew that...just sayin. He is prolly more use to the cold weather than I was thinkin he was.

Meeting at church tonight for Camp....I hope they call it off. I'd rather stay here where it's warm and dry.
