Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I have been getting a double yolker egg every once in a while. Total of 8 so far, about 1 a week starting from the first week.
double yolkers are not uncommon,, they do no harm to the chicken laying them,,
just be satisfied that you have to crack only one egg to get two..

Hi All!

That car is a nice little car. '97 Geo Came just in time too. One of front wheels on the van is tipped in. I thought cool, I got a working car while the van gets fixed. Well, as we were driving to pick it up I asked DH what that noise was from his car. His barrings are shot! I said OK, make sure the truck is cleaned out and I'll use that.... he said the driver's door is broke and won't stay shut!

Sooo.... out of 4 vehicles... 1 drivable!

Night All!

Another lovely night of third shift winding to an end. I was doing some looking online, not that you can trust a 30 day forecast but according to accuweathers antigo extended forecast there isn't a daytime high below 31 degrees in the next month. I would have no complaints about that one.

good morning,
we do not do spring clean up... but in the fall........this year is a different story.
today Annie could use a big dumpster for the garbage recycling stuff.

I think I will haul the garbage to the end of the driveway with the tractor, and leave it parked there..
If they don't take everything, at least I won't have to pick it up off the ground.. then we will just add a bag a week inside the small dumpster they provide..

the outside yard never looked so good.. there still is a few isolated hot spots, but they are behind the garage in the lean to .. If I put together a load of scrap metal and such, that will take care of lots of it,,

there is a portable wardroge cabinet.. we never used it,, in fact, I don't know where it came from,,
it is free if anybody wants it.. it is well made ..
there is a Junger fuel oil burner in there also.. it needs a new carburator or this one fixed.. my dad had it in his living room for years.. it heated a two story house.. It can also be set up as a funnace with all the pipes running to individual rooms.. also free ..

Another nice Fall morning....and a forecast for the next month like that sounds good to me. I hunt from a ladder stand and brutal weather is even worse from up there.

Welcome to the Cheeseheads Karl....how many birds do you have, and what breed are they?

Congrats on the car Cind...nothing like free wheels, even if it needs a little attention.

I'm gonna go find something outside to do. Lord knows I have enough to do for two lifetimes, at the rate I work lately.

Stay Safe...bigz

I take all that I said about our garbage man,, he took everything I put out there..

I cleaned up a little more at the side of the garage,, now all I have left there is some old 2 by lumber and a few tree branches,, all of which can go to the burn pile.. after the snow comes and I put a match that pile, all of you can look towards Wausau and see the glow in the sky ..

Stacy, remember Bo ? we got a call from the lady who had him,, seems he disappeared a few days ago... she is heart broken.. he sired 11 pups for her with her female that she got from us..
she still has 5 of those pups.. If anyone here wants one, let me know and I will connect you with her..
For you newer folks,, the dogs are LGD Maremma .. they look like the pictures in my avatar ..
I also have more pictures I can post, and there are already pictures in my files on BYC..
Awesome great dogs ..

It must be contagious,, today we got a double yoker from one of the chickens.. she laid it on top of the straw bales.. probably figured it wouldn't fit in the nest ..

Just got done at the locker plant. Man am I beat. Working third shift and then a part time job is a killer. On a good note my jalapeño venison sausage turned out awesome. Had to find room in the freezer for 24 sticks....not complaining

Hi All!

A sad thing happen while making supper tonight, I broke my meat hammer/mallet!
hit.gif
It may not seem like that big a deal, but I grew up with that thing! It was older than ME! A trusty old tool that pounded thousands of pounds of meat in my lifetime and I think my mom had it for about 10 years or more before I came along. (That made it about 70+) RIP ol' friend, you will be hard to replace.

Just when you see feathers coming in on some birds, you find a new batch of feathers.

They better get over this molt real soon!

Other than that, same old, same old.
