it's cold out there, protect your lungs..

good morning, just barely,,

I haven't ventured out yet.
but I know it's cold.. Irene's car didn't start so they took our Buick to town.

I had a surprise today. I have a bunch of grape cuttings soaking in water.. they are the lesser quality ones that I did not put into potting soil. one of them has a nice bud on it.
I will have to check them closely , maybe there are more.

the puppies are getting around much better, and starting to bully and play ..
they are in the auwww puppy cute stage, finally.
too bad we can't stop their growth right there .

going to be a frigid Packer game tomorrow.

Morning all,

Set alarm for pm rather than AM.
Woke up at 6:55, scheduled to teach at 7:30. Sick as a dog.
Backed into drift on side of driveway, car got stuck.
Drove around car with hubby's truck in 4 wheel drive.
Taught.
Home.
It is cold.
That's all I got.

So far in this cold spell I have only found one frozen egg. There is usually one egg that is pushed to the outer corner of the nest box - outside of the nest of hay that they have to lay in. I think that was the one that froze ... didn't notice it until I let them sit on the counter for a couple of hours and them grabbed some for making a cheesecake. The cracked one felt funny when I washed it and I had to look really close to see the crack along the side - the membrane was not broken, just the shell cracked. Fed it to the dogs anyway.

White chicken chili with a few glasses of wine from the three lakes winery. Nice way to spend another cold night
