Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

i went and Layed down when the falcons were up. When I woke up wow was it different. I don't know anyone who wanted the patriots to win. Oh well. Getting pretty excited for my feeder pigs. I got a lot to do to get ready stilll

I chose the Brady Bunch, not that I love them, but I have to have someone to cheer for or the game is not as exciting. and I like the way that Brady sprays his passes around. it took until the second half for him to get started.
the only yardage the BB got was on Falcons' penalties.

Yep, quite apparent that the refs were on their side. Hard to win that way. Really if it's not the Pack it doesn't matter who won...except the media won't shut up about it....and you know where Joe Buck's money was placed....the only good things he had to say were about ne.

Good luck with the feeders cw.....my neighbors raised pigs for market for many years....they quit raising them when Hillshire Farms quit butchering them.....he would get all the table scraps from a popular café close to here and would dump the 5 gallon pails full of food stuff on a big concrete slab.....when the pigs cleaned it up, the only left was the silverware that made it into the scraps.....he would give it back to them for washing and reusing....just sayin.

back in the day, a friend of mine had pigs. they picked up barrels of food from the restaurants . had a great big square tub that you could drown in . back then the law said that the slop had to be brought to a boil before you could feed it to pigs. they would stuff wood and tires under that tub and it would actually come to a boil .. prolly 300 gallons at a time.
they prolly contributed greatly to the air polution by burning those tires, but that was before you weren't allowed to burn tires. ahhh, the good old days.

my friends older brothers collected junk cars and sold scrap iron.. the quickest way to get to the bare metal was by setting the car on fire.. ahhh the good old days.

hey guys I need some help please for those of you that have rooted Apple tree scions.

I'm having no luck finding what to do. Some of our scions(actually the only ones that have done anything so far but more are starting) are flowering instead of producing leaves
Does this mean they've failed? What do we do with the flowers? I'm guessing clip them off but I could use some help I really don't want to lose these.

I would not clip the flowers off. let them go/grow and see what happens ..
what happens on top is not as important as root growth .

have you seen this before? You really think I should leave them?

But if they just flower won't they put all their energy into that instead of growth? Will they ever leaf out?

to tell the truth, my apples are not doing anything.
if a flower would appear, I would leave it.
in my opinion, in order for the flower to do anything, it will need roots. and roots is what you are after.
I don't know any more about it than you do.
snip just one blossom and leave one, see what happens.

all is not lost, you can try rooting some soft wood next summer from that same tree.

good morning.

I can't tell by looking out the window if it rained or not.
It did not snow.

I am thinking I will tear apart some buttercup squash today and save the seeds.
If the seeds are fertile, I should have enough to supply a small village .

Corey, how much are they charging for feeder pigs ?
I raised a pig once. kind of hard to butcher such a nice friendly pet. but she sure tasted good
the butcher said that he never saw such wide lean bacon.
My wife worked at a cheese store and got to bring all the outdated cheese home. that pig ate some really expensive cheese.

A guy at work breeds and sells them. He said they should be between 35 and 50 dollars he's not entirely sure yet. We butchered some pigs last week that were fed a pile of cheese from the cheese factory here in antigo from a woman who works there. Boy did they look nice. I slaughter animals every week without a problem but we'll see how I do on my own animals. Might end up with a few more pets lol. My uncle raised a pig a long time ago for meat. Originally it's name was Christmas. Well needless to say it's name became stinky and it stayed around for about 10 years

I'm gonna make a pen out of hog panels with a 3 sided shelter inside. One side of the pen is going to be the outside wall of the chicken coop I'm thinking. I'll probably get a solar electric fence deal and run one hot wire about 6 inches off the ground on the inside just to be safe.
