Thank you!

I hate sewing but will get the urge to make something every once in a while..... and usually spend a lot of time swearing at the machine.....

Today is cookie baking. So far, sugar cookie cutouts and chocolate crinkles are done; ginger cookies are on deck. This afternoon it will be Christmas biscotti and ranger cookies. Tomorrow is peanut brittle day, and the dogs get their salon treatment so they don’t stink up the car Monday......

we are just about set for Christmas.
there will be 8 people here for early dinner.
GS has to work at 11PM, so he wants to get a few hours of sleep before he goes in.
DD#2 is bringing the turkey she will have cooked at her house. I will make the dressing/stuffing. we bought a U-Bake cherry pie and a frozen silk chocolate pie.
I will make a lemon pie and a banana pie.
mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes/marshmallow, creamed corn from the garden . cranberries and celery sticks stuffed with cream cheese or peanut butter.
ho=made dinner rolls. and a relish dish.
.
we do not go big into gift exchanging.
just getting the tribe together is worth more than any gift..

How wonderful to read all the good things that are happening this time of year around us all, simply connected from this site and raising chickens, or at least a interest in them.... early Best Wishes to all at this special time of year for me!
The flocks are separated and it was exhausting for the young roo's to be away from the pullets at roosting time....separation went well with allowing the roo's out of the pen, and simply collecting each hen trying to exit the pen one at a time by being inside and working the pen door to my favor. Easy Peasy.
Nice socks bl4...where did get the fabric, and did you use your treadle Suzie was wondering?

Stay Safe.. bigz

There is a fish tank sitting on top of the treadle at the moment. I think I would need to get a new belt to use it too. At least I would get some exercise sewing if I used the treadle......

Pork hocks and home made sauerkraut tonight for dinner. That German dude I shack up with should appreciate that.

Had to run errands this afternoon so just getting to the biscotti.

Thanks for the fabric info bl4….Suzie said joanne has a great selection and said really about the fabric sources.
The pullets love their new coop...the older hens are not so happy about the uninvited guests, that seem to staying longer than they care for... :rant

GO PACK GO
