Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

HI Everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for so long. Now working 2 full time jobs. I am paying on a Mobil Home that I will Own in May. Found out, no chickens allowed. Have to have them at a friends house because Padre doesn't want them at the house. Got them out and "in hiding" just before the first big storm hit Whitewater. The new hen house arrived the day the storm was coming. They will have to wait until Spring. Odd I am getting 3-5 eggs eggs a day (my Rhode Island "Pixie" is molting) and the other 5 are not daily layers

Greetings from Kenosha 😊 I do not have any feathered dinosaurs yet but am looking at moving where we can get some legally. My daughter is in Brookfield and we want to go between there and Kenosha. Can anyone tell me which cities/towns/villages allow for BYC between Milwaukee and Kenosha? Any help is appreciated!

I’m in Central Wisconsin.
Looking in a place in the country may be a good option.

That is what I thought, also. Apparently there are some county towns that do not allow feathered friends in “residential” zones unless there is acreage. We cannot go too rural due to my hubby’s health and my work ☹️.
I have learned that New Berlin is one city that allows Back Yard Chickens but limits to 4 hens- which I am fine with!

That sounds like it could work!!

If you have an idea where you want to live, call the city clerk, check the ordinances, if you land in an HOA, get it in writing that you can keep chickens. There are many places with acres that are available in that stretch that will accommodate your needs.

Im over in the LG area and have a flock of 20 chooks and 8 quackers......

Whitewater allows 6 hens in the city limits. If you are renting, you should check with your landlord first, if it is ok with him or her. Whitewater is only about an hour from Milwaukee depending on where in Milwaukee.

Pixie back from liquor store car ride 23 sept 2020.jpg

This is Pixie after we got back from the Liquor Store. The store manager had to take pictures and I heard from alot of people after the fact. She sent it to everyone she knew and I suggested she send picture to her boss and tell him she needed the rest of the day off. *LOL*

Looks like one of my Australorpes might be car ride ready as well.

I know I am a little slow on adding this forum to my bookmarks. Still have not figured the darn thing out. When I put the Forum name as filter, says it can't be found and same thing when I copy and paste the actual forum. I have been saving a message in my email to find the page. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?
