Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I got the light all up and running,
now I decided to put one more fixture in the last corner of the garage.
both of these last two light will be on string switches. I don't need them on every time I go into the garage.
they will come in handy when I am searching through the shelves in the corner.
we are having corn again for lunch.
might as well take advantage of it while it is in season and fresh.

I was looking northeast, wow so bright. wondering if that was your garage.

Another good day, wife says were short about 50 from 500. uuuugh I was hoping so much. Gonna go in morning see what I can find for 1 last hurrah tomorrow. getting picked thru. Except for smaller ears prolly hundreds if not in the 1000s of them. See what I can feed to cows and chickens and in about 2 weeks mow it over reseed with rye. Thought about picking the small ears and taking to the homeless camp in the park down La Crosse, dont know if they have a a way to cook it. I eat corn raw. When I am hungry picking corn I just stop and eat some. Seems like a waste to mow over so much corn with hungry people.

Is there a food bank or church that has a food bank?

I tried that number years ago with salvation Army. Salvation Army in town gives out free meals I was working overtime bz 12 hours a day. We were selling word to mouth as did many years without stand. Had a lot of corn ( I forget but was 50, 60 or more dozen) asked them they said take it all. I asked if anyone could help me pick it, nope. I asked about help unloading, nope. Do it all myself. that was the end of that.

when they say there are starving people out there, I find it hard to believe.
I used to plant extra corn and beans.
free for the picking. had one lady come and pick beans once. barely took enough for a meal. I had two 125 ft rows of beans. most of them went to waste.
DD sent us a half bushel of tomatoes today. we will can them.

Some of those people are ones that need mental help. No

Our squash took over everything and killed the lettuce and spinach. It also took over most of the zucchini. We didnt have much room to plant this year and our sqaush never grows that big.

And we are handing squash out to friends, family and neighbors because we have so much.

Sorry to haha, but squash will do that. Wife had one come up last year in her garden. Started taking over. I left some of the squash on and cut the vines. Kept it pruned down, I have grown squash, used to grow so much of it,
Years ago I was taking a bunch squash into work give it away, the tailgate accidently popped open. I am so glad no vehicles coming the other way, I hit the brakes and had acorn squash bouncing by me 7 feet in the air. I can laugh now, but it wasn't funny then.

2 125 foot row of beans, be enough beans to feed minneapolis and st paul.

My wife has these asian beans growing, they are the longest beans I have ever seen

Last day at stand, had 3 cars pull up while taking stand down. Will fill order for 3 dozen tomorrow for 1 person lives in town., wife still has orders. We have picked bout all the good ears.
Took good ears and questionable ears down mixed and made 14 and 15 ears to a bag, just some of the smaller ears are either good or they dont tip fill and start denting early.
