I like the mobile chicken coop on wagon. 5 miles away or so a family had one they made. They would move it around, Have not seen it the last year. They did a really nice job.
Your mobile coop looks really nice.

I will be doing fall cleaning where chickens live in barn. We clean spring and fall.

I have some alfalfa pellets I put in the chicken water on occasion. The chickens finish the water the pellets are there. The chickens eat them. I thought about grinding or smashing some this winter mix a little in.

Going to make soup today, planned yesterday

We clean in fall and spring too-just cleaned out last weekend.

I tried the alfalfa pellets softened up in water-my chickens were like "what?" and wouldn't touch them, lol.

one of the traps is set off. doesn't look like anything in it.
probably the wind.
it is windy , overcast and cold.
I want to clean in the shop today. mostly
rearranging things for better work flow.
BL4, did you bring your coop with you
or did you build another one ?

Hy Vee opened here went down and did a quick peek, large store. Does not seem all that much cheaper, than everything is going up so fast over the last months.
Working on building a corral to move cattle out, redoing some of it friend here today.

Speaking of food prices might have to extend my wifes garden and start doing a little canning. I used to do some canning (tomatoes), but never saw that much savings in it.
I see tomato production in Calif is down, could be the new trend. Lack of water in Calif for crops.

We canned cucumbers this year. And family members canned lots of corn. Next year we plan on canning tomatoes, cucumbers, and corn.

I can tomatoes. not for any savings, but just to preserve
the extras that we can't keep up on eating. and I like to
have them handy when I need to make chili.
we freeze our corn. and beans and beets.
I did not catch any squirrels yesterday. that is a good sign .
our total catch is 11 . five in the last two days.
the stray cat is still hanging around. we think he is
going after the rabbits. lots of those around here.
I got the metal heat shield on the wall behind the
wood burner in the shop. really didn't need it, but
it makes me feel better .

The new owners of our house have turned the previous coop into a playhouse for their two daughters……. I hope they bleached it out really well……
