We got one egg today. I add corn to there diet in the winter and then feed them scrap fruits and veggies. What can i feed instead of grass? We are at 1 to 4 eggs a day and some of the eggs are really small lol. Hopefully some of the new hens will start laying in next 2 or 3 months get egg production up. I need to get a bag soy bean meal so I can up the protein level some. Shelling and grinding corn today and start on mixing with chicken feed. My save a buck feed for winter. Ill add vitamins once a week or so to the water once snow stays, which will end the free ranging fresh bugs and grass.
I see farm and fleet raised their chicken feed agri master made by cargill, now on sale 14.99 regular 17.00. Suppose the others feeds will be more expensive also.
