Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hey Peeps!! Long time. How's everyone? I see Jvls and BigZ.. :frowanybody else from years ago still here? TerriO? Babylady?
Having a BYC get together this year? I still have the white elephant 🐘 :lau
We got chickens again a year ago and
setting up to incubate some eggs now. :jumpy Anybody got Guineas?
Anyways just wanted to say hi and do a little searching for proper temp and humidity for our homemade incubators. Miss chatting with you all.

Got the rest of our garden planted yesterday. I did corn, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, and sunflowers. We got another apple tree. Hope we get apples this year. Then we got a grape vine to, that actually produced grapes last year so im hoping for some more.
Last year I staked up several grapes that were growing
along the ground. they were not in a nice straight line
so I made individual trellises for each of them.
I used one U post and one six foot piece of 1/2 inch
rebar. some electric fence wire and one J bolt and nut.
very simple to assemble.
I could try taking a picture of the results. if you are interested.

We just have ours running along the fence in our backyard. We actually had some planted there before we moved in, then we planted 3 more. I would love to see your setup though. As the grapes dont always grow on the fence.

Girls are three weeks old today! Let me bore you with pics of them. First day outside today - spent an hour outside, before Cordelia said enough!

No chickens here. Annie is feeding the night critters.
Tossing out old boxes of cereal that we will never eat.
She scatters it on the grass and the next morning it is all gone.
I am reconditioning my very old Husqvarna zero turn mower.
Yesterday I tore the mower deck all apart. managed to get all the
pulleys off without any damage. that is like a miracle for me.
got all three spindles out and three of the six bearings. One is
seized up tight , today I will pull the last three bearings out.
then decide if I need to order a set of six, or try to replace
just the bad ones..
my grapes are getting leaves.
the plum tree is done blossoming. It didn't get hit by frost.
the apple tree is still blossoming. so far,, no frost..
