Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

that snow was a nice trial run.
I didn't plow. we had about 2 1/2 inches.
the mailman made it in and out OK.
I made five pounds of cabbage into sauerkraut. it yielded about 3 quarts.
amazing how much it shrinks after shredding and stomping.

Snow here in southern Wisconsin, 1st time for the chickens to see snow. They are not liking it.
We got 8”. Girls didn’t want to come outside, and I don’t blame them. It was blizzard conditions for two hours.

Hubby brought home a hay bale, and some pumpkins. Spread the hay outside the run entrance, and threw some scratch and grubs in it. They came out, wandered around. Happy birds!

We had only gotten about 2" up here in Shawano County. Mine came out for a couple of minutes and went back in lol. Half of them (7) should remember other winters. The other half are new to winter so I can understand that!

Badger Farm,
Did you get your plastic on before the blizzard conditions?
Yes! We got it on last week, along with covering windows to keep the wind from blowing on their wee little faces!
