Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

20 degrees is the average Wisconsin winter temp. Cold enough to keep the snow on the ground and lakes frozen and everything looks pretty. Warm enough that I can keep the coop above freezing.
I wish it was 20 degrees all winter long.
I'd be interested in knowing what your coop looks like, the size and everything because at 20° my Coop's maybe 5° warmer than that. But it's 8 by 10 insulated the top half OSB the bottom and probably 6 inches or more of shavings on the floor not complaining, I'm just saying.

There is a heater in there. 🤷‍♀️

what kind of plucker are you going to build ?
I built five whiz bangs. sold all of them.
I made all sorts of improvements on the original plans.
pluckers are not cheap. but they are worth having.
Hi! So, my husband is interested in building a whiz bang. Or-- do you have any for sale ? Would love to get in touch with y'all.

I started out with the whizbang book. then I improved on each plucker as I built them. by the fifth one, I had nineteen improvements on the original model. the first one was belt drive. the last four were chain and sprocket drive.
I would be happy to help you build one.
I do not have any left. we quit raising chickens so I sold the last one..
if you buy the kit, it gets a little pricey..
contact me first..

I still have my drum plucker that I had for sale on graigs list.
It works very well. you just have to hold onto the chicken. not a big deal. we did hundreds of chickens with it..
