Sure wish we could get more people up here involved in the swaps. Went to this last year and there weren't to many vendors. Nothing worth making a trip for anyway. The Rhinelander swap was alot better. That being said, I don't need anything more. Hubby just went to PO to pick up some more eggs for me. Lavender, Black and split Orpingtons !!! Need those like I need a hole in my head too !!!
One of my tiny little lavender silkies I got in the mail from Ideal is not doing to well today. I don't think it has eaten. Not pooping. I mixed some sugar water with chich saver vitamins today and used a diabetic syringe and dropped tiny drops of water in it's beak. It doesn't open it eyes. I'm afraid I am goint to lose it. Poor Poor little thing !!
The little dutch bantams are so small they look like humming birds. I tried pulverizing the starter crumbles in the food processor but it didn't do much. Guess I'll get out the rolling pin.
Any suggestions for my poor little silkie??? I think I am going to name him Peace. I already told him to rest in peace should he pass while I'm not around.
Another crappy day up here !!!
Yesterday we came home and I see 3 of my 11 guineas are starting to venture out to my 20 acre hay field !!! There has been a fox around here so I'm getting a bit parinoid (sp) !!
Rai I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. It is so sad to lose someone so close. Even harder when you didn't get the chance to say goodbye. My heart goes out to you.
I lost both of my parents 9 years ago and didn't have the chance to say good bye. Alot of you might remember hearing it on the news. My parents were the couple
Herman & Carol Petersen
in Racine that were murdered in their home. A burglary gone bad. We weren't able to have a viewing at the funeral because they were both stabbed numerous times.
I'm sorry to hear that you aren't on speaking terms with your parents but I know things happen. Maybe someday things will be good again. Again I wish you my condolences on the lose of your Grandma.
Anyway on a brighter note, hubby just got done building me some more breeding pens for my silkies. He can be such a sweetheart !!! And then ................................ sometimes I never hear the end of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Jim when you are done in Mt Horeb you are welcome here !!!
You're going to be very very sorry you told us all that you are building a chicken coop for someone !!!
I want to head to town but don't want to leave my poor silkie chick !!
