Evening all!
nonsuch-for the show, the judging starts at 9am. Coop in is either Friday from 4-9pm or Saturday at 7 am. I think BCC (Buch Creek Chickens) has Faverolles? I would not be surprised to see some at the show. Hopefully some one will have them and you can hook up with a breeder or at least some one who might know of a breeder.
Welcome mandereli! Hope you like it here!
dornes-I'm so glad that the chicks got you all right! They sure are a cute bunch!
CD-I love your carport chicken area! I'm so getting one at one point! That is a brilliant idea! I also like our coop. I have had my eye on a shed like yours for some time now, but have always been concerned about ventilation and if there are enough vents. Costco has an uber cool shed I really like- complete with sky lights- but I'm worried about the chickens not getting good ventilation in it. The pet door is awesome!
I agree with taking yogurt with antibiotics. I had to take some pretty nasty ones after my surgery. I got a kidney infection and pneumonia that went into plueressy (sp). That sucked big time! I had to take 3 different antibiotics. One for the kidneys, one for the lungs and one for post op stuff. I was so bushed-but that might have been the vicodine too! I sucked mints and drank water like a fish. If you are having a real bad reaction, let your doc know. It might be normal side effect stuff from the drugs, but you also might be having a slight reaction to them and he might want to try anther type of antibiotic. I sure hope you feel better soon!!
DrH-thanks for the nice words! You made me blush!! I think you should take a break from tree hacking and do a meet and greet at Richland Center! We can all say Hi and talk about chickens, family, and morals so you are prepared to find morels!!
Hey is Buster soup yet? Or is he still Dead Chicken Walking? H&R and I actually discussed this very subject when I picked up Valerie from her!!
