Bec, you can go to Google's home page, click on "maps" on the top left, & type in "Christus Memorial Camp, Clintonville, WI". You can zoom in or out pretty much as much as you want.

Thanks for that Google info CC...I am doing that now cause I dont yet now if I have to find my own way or if DH is coming...all this last minute stuff drives me nuts!
On a better note two things came into the stores that I had ordered! From the liquor store some beeer from Belgium that is Amber Ale...Millet, buckwheat, rice and sorghum--it is GOOD! Unfortunately $5.39 a pint! AACK! THen the hardware store called and said my solar lights are in...I am going out to put them on the path now!
Gotta fo and make a 50th wedding anniversary card for tomorrow's party and DH said, "sorry for the late notice, but we have to go to a "soiree" at my bosses house tomorrow!" Whew, when it rains it ours! Later all! Terri O

Nice Light Rainy Fish Fry Friday.... Thanks for the google map info cd. Glad you are gonna make the bash Becky. You will need to take hwy 41 north til Oshkosh, then take hwy 45 north exit and Follow that the rest of the way to clintonville. Left at the lights in clintonville and continue north 45 for about 4 miles to Knitt road. Me and Suzie will have balloons on the highway and a byc sign so folks don't miss the turnoff. It's only a mile off hwy 45...Boy Scout Road is dead end.....enter through the open gate at the end and you made it safely

This rain should help to get things growing in the gardens. TO, I'm thinking 3 pullets and a cockeral if that works for you? They are growing fast and will be 13 weeks old. I'm only 2 minutes from Camp. If you want to see the adults and then pick some peeps out that's fine, or I can bring them...whatever you like.

I think the list for the bash is a good idea Doc. I need to remember to make venzun jerky for starters. Just thought of that

Hey BigZ--not that I dont trust you...but I think the birds would be happier at your place until the end of the weekend and then we can pop over some time and get them before heading home. That sounds like a goodly number...should be able to get something going with that.
I just checked out the Google directions and from here it says 2 hours and 35 minutes for the fastest time. THat is not too bad. As I was looking at those maps I saw all the towns that people are from on here! That was kinda cool!

OK Beck, Carol and whomever else...let's get a date set OK? Our County fair is the week of July 4th so I am pretty open after that week. Some Mondays, some Fridays and the weekends are possibilities for me. What about you guys?

Terri O--who is thinking about riding tonight...gotta get those cards done first though!!!!!

Got home tonight and 2 more chicks have died, in the rain. A blue and the black from my own egg. Was I wrong in thinking that the broody would be able to take care of them??? She's got the last 2 with her in her little coop. Maybe i won't let them out anymore. Oh, and a Dellie chick from the swap has wry neck, not getting better with prednisone and vit E. I'm really very discouraged. I can understand why people liquidate their flocks.

You might want to look at alternative routes. I don't know when it's supposed to be done, but the portion of Hwy 45 between Oshkosh and Hwy 10 is ripped up right now. I'm sure that there's detours that can be followed, but I would think maybe 41N to Hwy 10W in the Neenah area, then jump onto 45N to Clintonville would be the best bet. I hope it doesn't discourage anyone, just wanted to give a heads up.

hey amyable, I believe that farm that we got those chickens for you is across 45 from the bash lol

Back Again...sounds good TO, I think that's good thinkin...you are a smart women.

Thanks for the detour info Frizzler...

raimnel...it's just a personal list of things to do so we don't forget stuff. Doc just mentioned he started one and I think I need one too!
It's also funny about the neighbor down the road that you got chickens from.... small world, eh! I think his son wasen't good with chicken math at all....or is it good at math?

Evening all!

Man you all were chatty!

A big Cheesehead Welcome to the Newbies!

Congrats to La Cross on passing their chicken ordinance!! Way to go!!!!

TO-Riding!?!?! Sign me up! I have a saddle- just need a horse!!!
lol.png
Do you care if my saddle is a dressage saddle? Just thought I should ask since "some" horse owners can be funny about those sorts of things....not sayin' you are!
cool.png
Cuz you and Carol are Uber Cool Peeps, but we all know how those crazy horse peoples can be...

Frizz-I asked my dh about the snowy mallards and he has a few clients who he will check with. So once I get some info I'll pass it on to you. He has about 7ish clients who just breed mallards. Mostly for hunting and training birds dogs but still, they hopefully can help us find a breeder for you!!

Had a fun filled day of stuff to do-kinda. It was a dark depressing day today.

Took Tootsie to the vet for her check up and she did great! Gained 3 pounds from last year. She also needs some dental work-teeth need cleaning. So I'll add that to the list of things to do!
The Alliant Energy folks are still in the neighborhood working on the lines. Turns out a house near the baseball field still does not have power yet. Apparently a tree trashed the power pole....poor people....I though 12 hours was long....
I made 2 fresh peach pies...cheated a little and used peach Jell-o instead of making my own peach gel type filling and used pre-made pie shells since I cant make a pie shell to save my life....I even bought Reddi Whip instead of making my own whipped cream...geez.... was I lazy!!!
Dh is planting the trees we ordered. 2 peach trees, 2 sugar maples, a paw paw and the American hazel nut. I let him have at it and since he wants to plant them I thought better let him do it now or it will never get done.

The chickens got some left over peaches from the pies but they were afraid of them.
roll.png
They had to have a major discussion on who would be the one to get "poisoned".
lol.png
Turns out the Orloffs liked them and would not share.... Buzzy is doing well and so are the Buzzettes. Cornie had decided that shavings baths are much chicken fun and he also is huge! He is doing great but I know it's only a matter of time before we will be faced with processing him. But while he is here with us I want him to have a good life. He is loving the new bigger brooder and likes to stroll around but he pants pretty hard sometimes and has to take a breather from all that walking. I'll take some pics of him, Buzzy and the rest of the Buzzettes. The littlest Bardie-Daphne was looking punkie but she seems totally fine know.
Winston now has a special "day light" light bulb in his tank. He is such a good little roo. Dh think he is done growing and he is small-maybe a half a pound. He still fits in one palm of my hand. His crow is still pathetic. Don't tell him I said that though!!
lol.png

Well, that's about it...I'm gonna go see if my pies have set so I can have me a slice! Here is the link to the pics I took of the storm damaged trees in out park. I have not tagged/described them yet..I will do that after I check my email!

Have a great night!

Since I drive that way EVERY Wed-Sat....... there is NO WAY the 41/45 interchange will be finished by the time of the bash....

Directions from the South:

Take 41 North to the Jackson Street/Hwy76 exit; about a mile up the road on 76, turn LEFT onto Cty Hwy GG. Continue on GG to Hwy 45, take the on-ramp on the right to travel North. Continue to follow the directions to Clintonville from there.

If you use the Hwy 76 detour, you will travel WAY out of your way to get to Hwy 45. With the price of gas I am sure nobody would like to travel extra miles!
