Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good morning everyone!

ok, soooooooooo, did I ever mention that my grandmother met my Irish grandfather(who came over on a boat from county Cork Ireland to work with his father in the logging camps of northern WI) when her mother brought her and her 8 siblings north to work as a cook in the logging camps from,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,KENTUCKY????????????????????
Your forgiven then..... Most of the Kentucks up here were running from the law when they took to Northern wI.

Geez, I wasn't on here CC and I have pages to read too....... If bl3 and bf4m would just quit arguing about who is Queen..... We all know I hold that postition !!!!

As far as the chips go.... let me just make one thing clear..... I don't clean out my brooders and scoop it into the toilet !!! How dumb do you all think I am????? Ok well, maybe I don't want to know the answer to that one !!! LOL

Unk, you never did answer my question... are you a Kentuck ???? lol

Was talking to and man at the laundry mat last night in Crandon. He was saying all the Kentucks fled Kentucky after committing felonys. Heard that several times to I tend to believe it but who knows ???? Could say the same thing about all the S Wi'ers that moved North too hey ??? LOL

Ok, I haven't been able to get connected on here (luck you) but while I was at Dollar General last night we ran into the people that sold us our first chickens (should have strangled them after they created my obsession lol). Anyway her daughter had brought home a black and white large flemish female Rabbit. Little did she know it was PG. So now they have flemish bunnys running all over their yard. Black and white ones, different shades of brown ones.
She is giving them away to anyone that would like them for PETS ONLY... so quit your drooling MLH !!! LOL
I'm headed to Racine tomorrow morning to go to my nieces 2nd Yr Birthday Party. I can meet up with anyone that would like a bunny. I'd like to help her get these new pet homes before the hard winter sets in.

Ok, that's if for now. Have to start getting ready.... Nothing like last minute. Oh and before I leave, Bigz, what kind of panko bread crumbs do you use for fish. Our local store has Japanese style and a Progessive Itlation style Panko bread crumb. I'm confused, is Panko a brand or flavor. My brother uses it and I've tried it at his house on fish. It was eggcellent but all he said it was a blue box.

Dr Ha.... I"m getting my girl kitten spayed for $45 thru www.thefixisin.org The Fix is in. They might have a clinic near you or check with your local humane society to see if they offer a low cost spay/neuter clinic.
They say as long as they are 2lb they can be spayed/neutered and the younger the better compared to what they used to do. That $45 also includes a rabies shot.

Hi Mis pollitos-

I probably am too far away also.  I'm about 2 hours way.  I have family north of Stillwater, so am familiar with where you are.  My daughter (who is on here somewhere) lives in Amery, WI.  That's only about 45 minutes away from Stillwater (when the bridge was available to use anyway:rolleyes: ).  She has a pretty good set up for chickens. A really nice coop that her husband made for her.  If you're interested, I'm sure she'd welcome the visit.

I am in Amery! So is Angiebubs! Is there a third person on here?

OK I'm home and as per usual less enthusiastic about all the big plans that sounded so good at lunch time... My first chore in the morning after feeding the chickens, is going to be to go into the garage and find momma cats papers...I know right where they are i think. May walk out there later.....but I will have them in hand as well as dates to get/receive kittens NLT 8 Dec before this weekend's through. Which will have to be tomorrow due to NFL on Sunday. Let me try this: Go

Packers. (Thanks TO). The "try this" part was "Go Packers", lol felt a little funny, good guys though. The the Thanks TO was for showing me the smiley things, or in this case the 'I'm in Packer country what else can I do' guy.

Question: When you receive a notification from BYC via email that you have a message, does the person receive your reply if you click 'reply' and send an email back?

I kinda doubt it, but I was at work and frazzled a little and tried to do it that way....

Just an update. The Flemish giant bunnys were born in May of 2012 and are black and white, brown (sandy) color and steele gray.

The younger bunnies are black and white and a light brown.

CC you need some more bunnies !!!

Holy crow you guys have been chattery. I go away for work for a measly week and 160 posts later I check in. LOL

Had to de-possom my hen house this week. Bugger was in there fat and happy slurping down egg. *grumble*

Maybe I'll get eggs now? Need to set a trap tomorrow to catch his buddies as this one looked adolescent, probably more of them dining free-of-charge.

I would like to start collecting eggs for the NYD Hatch, but if they're getting eaten there aren't going to be eggs for ODrH.

Jealous of all y'alls pole barns/nest boxes. I need to hire me a handy man or something. Hubby is wonderful, but a carpenter he is not.

Think tomorrow I'll venture out and get chicken supplies and pick up some fish. Just got done cleaning out my 30 gallon tank and it's been sitting over a week maturing with the new water. It's sat empty of fish for a couple months now, but after a thorough rinsing and replacing with fresh water it should be good to go. Got the water all primed and ready to go. Now, which fish to put in. :)

The Iowa Blue chicks are growing at record pace and are looking good. They love their new digs out in the grower shed with some lovely heat lamps and all the food they can stomach. Can't wait to see them a little more mature. The older group in the coop dined on a bunch of veggie mix. Hubby bought a juicer, which is great news for the chooks. All sorts of goodies, greens and such. Those yolks will be fluorescent green. ;)

I've got a 37 gallon and two 55 gallon tanks I'd like to fill again too. I would like to try to raise some angel fish in one.
My other favorite fish are black mollies and guppies, plecostomes's and cory cats... I just love to find baby black mollies and baby guppies all over. When I was a kid I had a 10 gallon take that was loaded with guppies !!! the old fashion type where their tails were just plain with a black dot and maybe a stripe along the side.
Great Now I not only want one of those flemish giant bunnys, I want myfish tanks up again. actually two are up just with nothing in them....
Should have stuck to fish. A lot cheaper then chickens. LOL

pic d'jour tractor bucket forks..

subject matter is running out.. going to have to take some more chicken related pictures..

I have mentioned these forks in the past.. this is what I use to pick up the ten foot brooder pens and carry them where I want to put them.. the pens weigh about 350 pounds.. more if I move them with chickens inside..

I read 2 pages of posts.. had some comments.. forgot what they were..

I wish I was closer to the 3 roosters.. I could use a fine kettle of soup,, and the $20 would come in handy too..

FT.. pet rabbits ?? I am afraid your friend is going to have a lot of rabbits left over.. even more if they are running around loose to breed at their leisure.. and I want to hear her song next summer when she doesn't have any shrubs or vegetation left in her yard.. I have more to say on this subject, but I don't want to start a war..

I will send this off and go back and re-read the posts..

we have two baby cockatiels just hatched yesterday..

going to put an ad on craigs list for the older ones.. cockatiel with cage , $50.oo.. so if you see it, you will know it is mine.. hope I don't get flagged right away..
