I don't think I'm too interested in any more crosses than I already have. If you had some purebred English orp chicks, I'd trade you for some lavenders, if that is ok.
Bigfam, you have more bators than me, so you're getting Dom eggs. Unless someone were to go broody.
I sure wish I had a pure choc orp roo to breed Hershey to. Her butt definitely screams wide load. It's so big that when she's hauling @ss, she has to make two trips.
I had to chuckle at the "short circuit" comment. Sounds like you'll fit in around here just fine, Steve.
We had a couple of good downpours down here too. I'm glad they waited til after dark. Beautiful temps for Dec. I'll take it til April!
Not good news on the Critter front. Ramses has been steadily declining and might possibly be making his last trip to the vet tomorrow.
He has been very difficult about taking his pills lately, so I have been having to force them down him, making him afraid to get near us. The backup shots that we have for when he gets bad aren't helping him like they used to. We think they are adversely affecting his kidneys, which are also failing as is his heart. At least he lived a lot longer than they thought he would and had a good quality of life in the time he has had. He has been happy and playful up until a few days ago, so we are thankful for that. We had to bring Jasmine bunny back inside for the winter again. Her arthritis in her back legs just gets too bad with the cold weather. But so far she seems happy & healthy otherwise.
