I really have to get this chimney soot/cement dust out of the house! Every surface is covered with it. Kinda like when you do drywall and it seeps into everything! I know lots of you have experience with that headache.

Best wishes for your parents DrH. Difficult at any time but especially near a holiday. Always seems a bigger reminder somehow. Hugs to you and L.

Jim the recipe that I have used had peapods, carrots, garlic, shrimp, egg, salt and pepper for the patties. I think the sauce would not be too bad on your diet either. It is chicken broth, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, cornstarch and water. If you want the whole recipe shoot me a PM and I can get it to you. Now I am hungry for chinese food! I might just give my duck, duck, soup a chinese spin tonight. I will have to see if I can figure out a way to make GF wonton wrappers. I do love them in a soup! I might not be able to clean now...(thanks Jim) because I will be perusing all of the cookbooks that I havent looked at for a long time! See, it's really easy to talk me out of cleaning!

CC I home Ramses starts eating better soon. I have dealt with CRF in several cats and that is not a good sign. There was something I gave my last one that had it...I think phosphorous? It was supposed to lessen the amout of bile produced or something. THere is a great web group that I joined with yahoo. "Tanya's Feline Support" or something like that. See if you can find it--the people were very helpful!

I just heard the saddest thing on the radio. There is a cat named Stanley at Jefferson Humane Society that wants a home for Christmas. He is FIFTEEN! How can someone get rid of a cat that age? He is declawed too. (in case anyone is looking....)

OK--I have to at least get the laundry going in the right direction! Later friends! TerriOfeelingbehindcausesheis!

(PS) beautiful pics Judge!
thanks TerriO,, you can PM me that recipe.. I never thought of garlic,, that sounds like the missing ingredient in mine.. I will make it as soon as I get the recipe.. I do not have the pea pods, but that is OK.. I should call Annie and tell her to bring me some shrimp.. the very first foo yong I ever ate was shrimp.. I love shrimp.. I have used it every way possible,, even as fish bait in Fla.. I heard that it was good bait for Northern Pike , too..

I just called Annie and she is bringing me some shrimp..

Hey all waiting for my hay guy to get home from work so I can go get a load, then have to gettyhe trailer ready for picking up a horsey tomorrow if that works out............LOL was suppose to be today, but not happening as planned as usual.
Judge Sorry about the nephew hope he heals well and has a good lesson learned so it never happens again........ get well soon wishes coming tho......:fl
Well Adam was issued his truck yesterday.......today another set of test out stuff then who knows where he will be going and for how long........It's been awsome to have him home since Friday, got all ou5r winter stuff out and summer stuff put away just in time for the snow, now just to get him on a schedule that will work for us, would be the best Christmas present in the world ...... and a real pay check would surely go a long ways........... training pay is as sucky as unemployment....... but it helps I guess........ still feel like we should be getting somewhere, but we aren't yet......Hopefully by Spring things will be much better, I'm already wishing for warmer weather and it hasn't even been bad........... I really need to move somewhere warmer hehehehe........
So anyway have a good day everyone, Hugz Kim

I am jealous you are getting any eggs. We have 5 hens (3 buff orpington, 2 reds) and are currently getting NO eggs, not one. Not for a few weeks. It was right about the time we got real cold that they stopped but I am really wondering what is going on. If we have an egg eater or what. I have about had it to be honest, close to sending them to the freezer....except the prospect of starting in the spring and waiting all that time for eggs again...ugh!
It might be best though, we are going on vacation for a week in February and our parents are taking our kids (his parents during the week, mine on the weekend) and we so far have nobody to take care of the chickens. We could probably get one of the neighbors to but not sure how much you would even pay someone to do that? I could start with new chicks when we come back and hopefully they will start laying earlier, I love my orps but boy did they take a LONG time to lay. And then there is the husband who just wants to switch to game birds entirely.

I pay my neighbor kid $5.00 a day to come open the gates and close up the coop at night, (doesn't have to feed or water, its just for weekends when we are at our cottage up north). When feeding and watering is required I pay $10.00 a day, not that big of a deal when without it you wouldn't be able to go anywhere.

I have 4 BCM, and 5 brahmas, I'm getting 1 to 3 eggs a day yet. My Brahmas have never let me down, they lay on and off all winter...

Heritage Americuana's are APA and come in LF and BF. LF lay medium to large blue eggs and they average 200- 250 eggs a year. They have both beards and muffs and are extremely rare. Most are confused with EE's, Easter eggers and cross breads. Hatchery's do not breed actual Americuana's. They weigh about 5 lbs.

Terri..
Tell Peggy she can have that Americauna if it is a cockerel!!
Thanks again for the nice visit!

Judge, your home is beautiful! Sorry to hear about your nephew.

It is pretty scary when our parents are ill and there time with us is coming to an end.

A neighbor lady down the road comes over (just on weekends) to feed our goats and chickens. She keeps any eggs that are laid over the weekend and when they go on vacation, I take care of their animals. Bartering is good!

In the summer if we leave for longer, one of the women my husband works with comes over on her way home from work and feeds everything. We give her $20 (when she will take it) and any eggs she gathers. She loves coming over in the Spring when we have baby goats!

good aft, I went out just before noon and cleaned up the yard of snow.. just HAD to run that Ollie again..

then I located the main mounting pins and modified them a bit.. called bro Dave and he is coming tomorrow to help me mount the loader.. I decided to mount the loader without hooking up the hydraulics, then backing Ollie into the garage to put the pump on .. If all goes well, we should be able to cram a half hour job into a whole two days..
Annie went to F&F for some baggies, so I am having her pick up 4 locking pins for the main pins..

I did make that egg roo yong for lunch.. It was very good,, despite me forgetting to put the soy sauce in.. so I sprinkled some on as an afterthought ..
I put garlic, green pepper, onion, shrimp and bean sprouts. and yes , 2 eggs...
I think foo yong means "leftovers" in Chinese..
4 hours later, and I am still not hungry..
