If you have Lav Orp eggs you sell, I would be interested in February. I will be hopefully hatching out Black and blues in February if that cockerel ever starts to fertilize. He is so uncoordinated. He spends more time on the ground falling off than on top.

Nice Sunny afternoon to all....Congrats on the continued hatching!

Aren't you gonna be a indian giver CC? Or aren't they happy with the boys?

Just have to report that tom ski's carnival ride had 6 customers with a one way ticket! I was really impressed with the first night the carnival was open! LOL and there was only a few inches in the pool.

Dang that's agreat deal on the boss Cind. And that's pretty cool about the broody mom and peeps.

Hi All, I know who that was in your yard.. It was the guy from Publisher's Clearing House with a check for the occupant.. If nobody answers the door, they go to the next name on the list.. too bad..

Annie made a kettle of chicken soup, so I figured we need a batch of dinner rolls to go with it..

Then I went out and lifted the dog house off the trailer and parked it in front of the garage.. at first I was not going to do that today, but then I thought, what the heck, and did it..

I might even have some pictures of Ollie at work..

as always, you can click on each photo for enlargement..

Sure, I can sell you some in Feb. How many would you want?

You really do some nice work there Jim! And great planning ahead making those eaves strong enough for moving like that!

They only want/have room for 8 chickens, so 3 being roos is a bit much. Ideally, she would like to rehome 2 of them.
Congrats on the carnival success.

Quote: A dozen if you have them.

Time really depends on my cockerel..the poor fella has a hard time of it breeding. he seems to be terrified if the hens make a peep during. I was told English do not breed much in cold weather. I might need to look into that and I hope it is not true.

Lol! My lav boys sure don't have that problem!

The gal I got my boys from said they had English genes & were from Greenfire and hinkjc stock? Not sure how true that is, but that is what they claimed in the ad. I sure paid enough for them, and was not too happy when all 3 wound up being males. One of them has the widest undercarriage I've ever seen on a roo, so maybe the part about the English genes was true.

If my adolescents start laying soon, I'm sure I'll have more than enough to cover a dozen. Maybe we could exchange a dozen eggs and see how the early hatches go. If not so well, we can always try again later. Sound good?
