Hens and Roos
Songster
When we get our chickens tested yearly, our tester does all our fowl 4 months or older, this includes our peafowl and pheasants as we are a WI tested flock. There are several different chocies as to what certificate you can have for your flock; Individual bird testing- this is only good for a few months, this would be if you are going to just taking a couple of birds to a show- we did this route the 1st year our kids showed chickens at the fair for 4-H. There is WI tested flock and NPIP which needs every bird 4 months or older on your place tested yearly. Hope this helps.I have to do all of my birds..depends on how old the chicks are when you get here if I need to do those or not. I have 20 birds and a prospect of 20 chicks. Half of those are for eating so I do not think they need to be done but I am not sure. My NYD hatch of RIR's will need it eventually at least.
