Good Call Jim!

Well DH had fun playing a really hilarious board game at a friends yesterday, he got home around 10:30 last night.
I have to go put different blankets on the horses here in a minute and need to take Beauty and her foster chick back to the born.

I slept 4 hours during the day on THursday, tried to nap on Friday but got a chill, I slept till noon yesterday, and tried to go back to sleep today but I HAVE to get different blankies on the horses and get them fed.

I am going to try to get the birds on pellets, I picked up a 40# bag of the stuff at farm and fleet, and I am mixing it in with my current crumbles.

And now I am severely worried about my border collie/sheltie/papillion mix, she is about 12 to 13 yrs old, she didn't eat her food last night,
and turned her nose up at a piece of lunch meat this morning, I tricked her into eating hers by having my other pup do tricks and eat
some. She kept hiding in the dining room last night and acts guilty about something, but I am just really worried about her. I think she did eat some of her dinner this morning, as it appears to be half eaten.
Sigh....me sick, dog sick, cold weather coming, bleh... I want to go back to bed.

BUT on the up side, I got a Marans egg yesterday so I am gonna make some awesome sunny side up eggs for the DH!!!
He LOVES his Marans eggs!

Chickenscratch, we just had a Southern bash in October at BigFam's place. We try to have the main Bash in a central location of the state so as many as possible can attend. We also have it at the campground so people who travel some distance can relax and put their feet up for a while. It is a fantastic location with a bunkhouse for those who need it.

BigZ, did the camp get a 50 c coffee maker? I was thinking they did...... have to be able to keep up with Jim's I.V......


Well I was not as lazy this morning as I should have been. I got up and made french toast and bacon for the crew.

I started reading the Wheel of Time series..... on book two at the moment. I would be finished with it already but the whole cake project ate into my time..... so I better get back to it.

well I just found Rudy on AMC so looks like I can procrastinate a little longer!

Good morning everyone! I am pretending to be happy and snappy...in reality I feel like I was chasing a truck, got run over by a truck or both; all night long! Sometimes I wonder just what our bodies are actually doing while they are supposed to be sleeping. I also wonder if all the mind antics in dreams can make the body feel tired the next day? Anyone have the answers?

Chickenscratch...usually the person that dreams up the idea for a get together is the one to plan it--just sayin'

I would be happy to attend a SE gathering but I'm not planning it. It kinds sounds like you and Deli should get together on the planning!

Heading to Madison tomorrow for DD20 soon to be 21's birthday dinner. Planning on picking up the new spectacles before hand. DD26 just came back inside...she was headed to work and her boss called and said the clean-up was all done. She was glad cause freezing rain just started and she said the wipers couldnt clear it off the windshield. I think I am staying right here for today!

I like your idea of just lying around all day BL4! Somehow I cant picture you doing that though...it always seems like you are running...or maybe you will decide to rip apart a room and paint it?

I really feel like going back to bed...maybe I need a bloody Mary? This coffee sure isnt doing it! And the kids are cooking "eggs in jail" and the smell of that fried bread is yucky! I think DS burned his...the smell of burned butter is also nauseating! Sheesh, I better go back to bed!
Perhaps I will wake up in a better mood...

Good morning! Baby chicks are doing great! My chickens are dxoing so much better in the spa room...they look great and I'm getting 1 egg a day..

Weatber is suppose to be nasty next couple of days...typical...30 outside right now...(amery my roo is crowing up a storm). Glad I don't have to be anywher
Seen an ad for lav.orp chicks in hudson...is that any of you? Wish I could check them out but to far to drive in yucky weather. Besides if I drive that far....I need to make sure angiebubs is around for at least lunch. ;-)

I think that person also breeds blue laced red wyandottes. If you guys decide to meet for lunch and pick up chicks let me know. Maybe I can tag along.

Joe, procrastination is a disease.. they have a meeting here somewhere in town to help people get over it... I am going to attend the meetings,, one of these days..when I get around to it..

I dealt with the two ladies from Winter, (on CL), one time.. the ordeal was not pleasant..

Yes, DrH, I did have the right eye done a few weeks ago.. but it did not hurt as much or as long as the left eye is doing.. I am very sensitive to bright light,, like the sun.. when it does shine..

I cleaned out the dog house .. found a turkey egg in there.. today I am thinking I will put shavings and/or straw in there and see if I can entice at least one of the dogs to use it..

Annie said she noticed blood in the puppy's urine.. we well be checking that out tomorrow at the vet.. he does not seem ill in any way, and he eats very well.. he is growing like a weed.. can hardly tell the two dogs apart .. the pup does eat chicken laying crumbles..it is like a fetish with him.. I am thinking that there is too much calcium in that.. or something..

just a thought,, when tossing clear eggs,, why not check one or two of them for the bulls eye.?
in stead of sacrificing a possibly good egg .. I am assuming by "clear" that you mean candled clear ..

Now that the cat is out of the bag,, the drying racks are on craig's list wausau..

Does anyone have bantam calico cochins? I'm looking for hatching eggs. Willing to pay for them or swap for lemon blue project bantam eggs or project lavender/isabel laced/porcelain/gold laced orpington standard eggs.
