snowing here quite hard.. I haven't seen a weather report for a couple of days,, evidently, since I plowed yesterday down at the building site.. DUH !! On the bright side,, I get to plow again..

I think I figured a way to put a pitched roof over the pen.. I do my best thinking in bed.. I must,, because Annie always told me : "you think you are a good lover"..

getting time to go out and feed the multitudes.. cuppa first..

Ok I need your help..besides hatching out some chicks...my spring thoughts are redecorating my coop... when we built it 4 years ago, we painted it hulk green... in hopes of it blending in with the trees and greenery around it. We were the first ones in the neighborhood and were going for stealth. Now I need to add some color besides my barn quilt that is on the coop. I have put big black hinges and handles on it also, but wondering if you would do white or black as an accent color then? Where would you add it? Ok so this picture is not the greatest. Thought I had a better one in my albums on here. I will have to find another one or take one this afternoon. Anyway- it is the standard box on legs with a run( this is the old run, we added another 8 x8 to the run last spring and there is a plastic 6 x6 shed on the side of the box coop under the trees that is grey colored. Any thoughts on adding color would be great.

Good morning and happy Valentine's Day to all. I really cant believe it is the middle of February already--spring is just around the corner right?

Got some frost blamkets at Menards when I was there; buy one get one free. I am going to plant my lettuce garden early and cover with them to see if it works. This is still in the planning stage because all my "raw material" is frozen in a big heap in the paddock. Soon, soon....
Tommy just decided it is morning and he is crowing...the parrot is also trying to learn-great!

Had my breakfast/lunch already and now I am set to head out and do some feeding. It appears that the snow has stopped anyhow.
Deli--that is sweet that you are meeting your DH for supper! Are you meeting at the casino on Hwy 18? If so it is very easy to get to...and coincidentally you will be going right past my place! I would have to drive much further to meet my DH for dinner...he is in Nebraska for 2 weeks! His work vehicle was having troubles so it is in the shop in town and now he reports that his truck is having problems too and might need a clutch! And now his phone isnt working properly either! Oh brother! When it rains it pours I guess!

Sounds like many of you will be hatching chicks soon! I am thinking about the foolish hatch again this year. Will be a test hatch for me for sure...hey BigFam--how long did you say I can borrow this bator? You have others right? I would hate to deny you of hatching! I am toying with the idea of breaking down both of mine and making them into another unit. We'll see if that actually happens!

OK--I have forgotten everything else and I need to get back to Amberflea too...better get going here or it will be time to make something for supper!

Oooh- I love decorating! I can't really see it though. Would love to see a closer picture.

If you want to blend in, and already have the green, add a gold and white stripe with a Capital G on the door.
