Good morning--just a quick post for me...BL4 what did you do with a mudpuppy? Can you eat them? When I was a kid I always wanted to see one in real life...guess I still do! LOL.

I hit the hay very early last night...I think 7 o'clock! Got up this morning at 8! Something is going on but I dont know what it is...
Kids will be home today from Chicago...then Dh and son are heading to Nebraska. The truck is in the shop there getting fixed--great, another bill!

Looks to be a nice day out there...guess I better go and see just how nice it is...calling you JJ--forgot the size hole I need to drill into the tree....

sorry Terri busy day away from laptop.

the hole should be 7/16 inch and about 1 3/4 inch deep. dont forget the upward angle, and let it drip a little while to clean out the drill dust.

I have fork envy Jim,,,

yeah the cordless drills are something we can't do without but the makers have it figured so the battery packs always seem to be the weak link,,,,a good friend recommended DeWalt and get the kit with the extra flashlight,,,then every time you use the drill when you are done, hookup the flashlight, turn it on and let it completely drain the battery. Then when you recharge it has no memory to mess up full charge. also,,,as you know,,,you can't let the batteries lay around for months in the cold,,,heh heh

Terri no go on the leg bands from Nasco unless I wanted 100 per color at a time,,too spendy for me,,,went to Foy's Pigeon Supply and found what I needed, also the folks that have the "bobs" for trap nesting

Bigz, I'm guessing that is Dick Horstman's wife? I'm very tempted to order some SLW's from them.

Yep unk that's her husband....folks involved with the APA are a can't go wrong source for the best. I n my opinion of course. It will be shipping from Pa that i know you know already. Working with them is nothing but the best.

Hey all, sorry I ain't been around Adam was home Friday Afternoon till this am, so was enjoying my time with my hubby, and gettibng some things done that needed doing.....
anyway the jeep has new oil, and Adam got the ATV running and my manure cart dumped just in time for me too clean the barn/ and stalls and coop today LOL another whole load of shitte...hehe
Friday I cleaned the whole thing too, problem being the battery on the $ wheeler is dead as a door knob, so have to pull start, well with my hands that ain't sucha good thing, I ended up pulling a tendon in my rt arm and wrist, and wouldn't ya know it couldn't even give anyone the finger all weekend, cuz I couldn't make it move....... hehe anyway then had kinda a crazy day Saturday, I get a call from my best friend, and they are getting kicked out of there Apartment, now get this reason, because the owner says them living there has depreciated the house so much he can't sell it............ LOL OMG what an ignoramus...plus he puts a 5 day eviction notice on the door, or cure what in his silly little mind is the problem too much clutter....... now the best part is the clutter is his fault because all her stuff has been in boxes almost 3 years, because he never took any of his shitte out............. all her stuff is mostly in the basement getting ruined every time it rains because it leaks like a sieve... and they have asked him to remove it many many times, and fix the leaky basement many many times..... this guy is the biggest arsehole I have ever heard of, and he probabley would have sold his house at least 5 times if he would actually ask what its worth and not about 50,000 over that........... its a tiny almost trailer, one of those modular thingies, on a large lot, on a road that never gets plowed its private, its leaks the roof leaks, and its maybe worth 70,000, he wants a 130,000............... so anyway seeing as there is no pleaseing the jerk they are getting out, and guess where they are going until further notice??
yah you guessed it HERE............ so I will now have 7 more people to clean after, cook for, and chase down........ her kids are bit naughty.......... and she has 3 dogs and a cat...... 2 St. Bernard s, a little black mix, a big fluffy hair ball cat........ good grief how do I get myself into these messes.......... but they have no where to go no money and I just said yah I guess so........ I can't have ya living in my chicken coop now can I, so I been cleaning the basement all day getting ready for my house guests....I need to make a family room for her 5 kids, and 3 extra bedrooms....... man I have a lot of crap I don't need........ anyone want a powerhouse weight bench, a tredmill, ..a wooden horse for a saddle, and old 13 inch tv, ..home interior wall crap, birds and bloom magazines, a desk or a zillion cardboard storage barrels, well 13 to be exact is all that's left I listed em on craigs.. we had 30,...we used to store pellets in them when we had the pellet stove...... I'm keeping my 9 big plastic ones, for feed......
but man I have alot of stuff........

sorry about the hatch on the turkeys was crossing my fingers for ya cuz I would like to buy a few of those extras..... Ive wanted those little whites for a whikle already, just didn't get around to buying them yet....
also Hope kitty is doing better, it doesn't sound like he is doing very well today.....
Jim like the pen and handy forks on Ollie........ wish I had time to come help ya put it together, but just now gotta have at that basement, only got a week...till move in day.....so anyway takle care ya all, I'll try to get back later, sorry if I forgot anyone, I read fast to catch up........... Poor little Runt is all curled up on the heating pad again. He was NOT happy with another trip to the Vet today, and lucky for him he has another scheduled for Friday! His labs came back; his pancreatic enzymes are through the roof so he definitely has pancreatitis. With his liver out of whack too, it is looking more like he has Triaditis. So, today he was given 200 cc fluids SC, and they allowed me to take an entire bag of ringers home with me and I am to give him 100 cc SC every day (he is going to LOVE me so much!). On top of that he is to get an injection of B Vitamins every day, and a pain medication which also happens to be an injection. I have a huge pill I need to give him once a day (I am going to crush it up and put it into some liquids and just give it to him in a syringe), and I have 3.9 CC of enzymes to give him orally once a day.They weighed him again today; he was 6 lbs 11 oz last Monday, today he was 6 lbs 7 oz. I have been told to feed him whatever his heart desires.... and boy have we been trying!

It is a good thing I am working..... I know there is no hope of recovery for him, but he is not very 'sick' (he is still alert and interested in the house activities), he is just looking terrible and not eating. I cannot put an animal down if it is not suffering, and he does not seem to be. He is still Mr. Lovey Dovey to everyone so we will just do what we can for him until there is nothing left to do.

Dr.H, I am sorry your dad is ill, I hope he recovers quickly.

Terri, I always wanted a mudpuppy too! The kids have been doing their research on how to take care of it, and they have let me know what it needs and eats. I have a 20 gal tank all set up for him, with a very dim light and river rock on the bottom. As soon as I get the water filtered for long enough (to get the Chlorine out) I will put him in and take some pics for you!


I need to go give DH a haircut, so you all have a good evening!
