OK This is the OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT...We are CANCELING the sale for this Sat Feb 23rd Green Gables Livestock auction at Equity Livestock Market in Statford , We made this decison due to the impending snow amount pssibilities which is sup[pose to hit especially harder south and west of us which is also where 3/4 of our buyers and sellers come from and we dont want anyone trying to make it to the sale in bad road conditions ... We also decided that instead of tryingto just delay it a weel because it is calling for snow starting Tuesday through Sat of following week also ..SO we are just waiting to have our first sale on already scheduled date of Mar 30 ..Because that date is also of the Neilsville swap we are opening at regulat time of 7:00am but will be starting the auction an hour later at 11:30 am so that people can go to both ..the pre-sale will still start at 9:00am but will run through 11:15am followed then by the auction .. we Apologizefor any inconvenience and hope to see you all on Mar 30 Please help spread the word Thanks , Rick

I copied this off of the link that you posted. As long as I know Jefferson is still on though. JJ, My friend Beth (that has the peacocks) and I are attending but not selling this year. Probably wont buy anything but I will definately be bringing a kennel along just in case!

We are meeting here at 8 and then heading over there.
My quail have just started laying now. Well, the ones that are inside anyhow. I got a Cot egg two days ago and I think I got my first Bob egg today. JJ--are they white and really pointy on one end? It was very odd for sure. The pigeons are also laying and wanting to start incubating there eggs too. WAY to chilly for that yet...those babies are nekkid when they hatch!

Been spending a bunch on time on "Just a Pinch" recipe site today. I made some great GF banana bread...I wanted to do banana cake but I couldnt find my 8" round cake pans! Another time I guess.

Got a little bit accomplished here today...not too much. I am going to meet a woman that needs 2nd shift child care in the morning. Thinking about getting back into it and 2nd shift sounds good to me! I will have to see what it pays though...
The farm that I used to work at milking cows is looking for help again too...they pay really well, but I dont think I want to be lifting #50 on a regular basis...bad enough when I have to unload MY feed! Speaking of--I need to do that yet tonight!

I guess I had better get on out there...Good night! TerriOdigestingawonderfuldinneroflambchops

Not such good news here tonight. After getting reports from the DH all day long about the cat doing nothing but lay on a heating pad all day, I called the vet's office the get their take and of course I had DH bundle up the cat and ship him off to the vet. He will be monitored overnight and they can do so much more for him than I can. In a way it is a relief that I do not have to be stressing so much about him here at home, but it is also awful not knowing how he is doing. The Vet will call me in the morning to give me an update. I am trying to keep my chin up and hope he does rebound, but I am not very optimistic at this point.

Kristi, I hear you on the whole job thing! They are making noises about having us swap Sundays (and of course they will not increase our pay for this). If I wanted to work this kind of schedule I would have gotten a job with these screwy hours.... of course this is still speculation so I should not fret too much, but I do not like not knowing what days/hours I will be working...... taking the summer off sounds really nice right now..... but unfortunately it is not in the plans.

So my sister has taught DS how to play 'Iron Man' on his guitar...... so we have gotten to hear that riff for at least half an hour...... and lovely feedback buzz from the amp too!

Ok, that is it for now. I am off to relax with some chocolate... (I gave up wine for Lent. What was I THINKING!!!!)

Great bunch of folks on here and a few???? Well, read a bit, you'll pick them out

but everyone is willing to help and we have a few real "chicken gurus" and even a veterinarian or two.

So pull up a perch and join the flock, you're welcome!!!!
