Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

TerriO, I did a lot of remodeling for a lady who did child care in her home.. she had at least 7 or 8 preschoolers. no diapers.. On Monday it was Hi kids, have a nice weekend ? tuesday..lets all march and then color in these books.. Wednesday,, Billy sit down, carol, don't pick on shirley. Thursday,, it was all screaming and just short of swearing,, all of you,, lay down and take a nap !!! Friday, she went to the tavern and her sister covered for her..

You should have kept the snowpants at your house.. I am betting they will be forgotten at home..
another trip to St Vinnie's..

I am having trouble getting both eyes to focus on the same spot,, makes reading and typing a little tough..

had meatloaf, mashed and gravy and diced beets.. been a long time since I ate bear roast..

JJ , Chris funny cartoons.. I get lots of jokes etc daily.. I forward some of them to selected people.. I have two lists of people.. the more raunchy ones I do not dare send to my oldest sister.. she is some sort of elder at her church.. so she misses out on the runny ones..
My youngest sister gets all I send, on the other hand..

Terri... I think I might get a hova bator genesis. If i do, you want to buy that incubator you're FINALLY gonna use? Cheap...$25

So very tired. Momma still has only 2 chicks and 5 eggs. How long do I let her go before giving up and pulling the remainders?

My feet are cold. Guess its time to slap the wool socks on.

Deli... Don't forget I want big butted blue orps from you. Eggs are fine too ;)

Hello all! Sounds like you are all doing well- great to hear.
My chicks are doing well. Very busy digging in the straw. Maybe I'll add something in there so they have something to dig for. Decided to paint the brooder before I added the chicks, so I am going to put them in there tomorrow. I think they will like it. It seems so big! 4ft wide by 2 1/2 ft deep and 2 feet high. My dad added a partition so I can separate them from the chicks I am hatching for the Easter hatch.
Finally my chickens started laying again. I got 4 eggs from my 15 layers today. It's a start though, and hopefully will get more and more each day. Haven't heard Colt crow in awhile, so it's been really nice hearing his "voice" again.

Her's a picture of the brooder. I'm no artist, but I tried and DD6 helped too

Picked up Two Roosters today from Vicki (CC's Friend). I "think" they are a Dom/Buff cross - Help me out CC

I got them home and they crow in harmony... LOL one says Cock-a-doodle-doo while the other one crows Cock-a-doodle-wah. The "wah" is about 8 notes down from the other's crow... It's really funny.

They fell right into the flock just fine - so far.... Will keep you posted.
So glad you got them, Tom. I hope they do you proud.

They are Dom/lav orp crosses. The psycho one she gave to a neighbor was the Dom/buff cross. These 2 are much better behaved, especially the younger one.
Too funny about the crow.

Now for some pics............

B4fm... congrats on the new room!

DrH.... welcome home!Glad your dad is doing better and Toby got snipped... wen is Kissy going?

Jim... we need pics of you in all your hats!

bl4... glad Runt is a little better! I used to make that "Icebox mousse cake" years ago too! Hummm... wasn't hard to make either... please post it if you find it.

martini... yes, styrofoam is nothing but a light snack to chickens!

Tomski... Welcome back...stick around! LOL

flocks....Rudy must be a hell of a roo if he left his spurs in a possum! You have a 14lb rooster?! Is it half turkey? LOL Wow... I think I would make him his own big pen and give him a few "select" big girls. Kinda reminds me of the guinea pig we had. He was 4 1/2 lbs. and NOT FAT! He was just big all over. Tried breeding him a few times and lost 3 females in the process. Sometimes you just can't breed large males without issues.

Judge.... cute brooder!

TO.... glad you had fun with the kids!

Well, off to do eggs... then bed! Night All!
