Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Afternoon All...so far the snow missed us again...praise the Lord!

Just a heads up for the folks that aren't aware that Purely Poultry in Fremont is not a hatchery. Tyler is a middle man and all his birds are dropped shipped from everywhere, including Ideal in texas.

Nothing new here....waitng for the Spring melt to start.

My moms shed collapsed today due to the weight of the snow on the roof. It wasn't insured. She is freaking out! Her motorcycle and a bunch of other stuff was in there AND her chicken shed shares one wall with it. Her pay got cut at work by quite a bit too, so building is not an option right now. This should be interesting . . .

BBP: Let us know if there is anything we can do to help?? ARGH!! Mike is thinking we got close to a foot of snow here-he is out plowing our driveway and road and then heading to do the neighbors.

For those on the other side of the state-school was closed here and many down in the twin cities as well (I worked from home again).

I have been moving snow all day on and off. It has not been an easy day. It is still snowing. I have Gold laced Black Orpingtons being shipped and they might be here Thursday. I have to keep my drive clear.

Dumb snow.

I am sorry about wrong information about Tyler..I used to live in Fremont..You used to be able to to go purchase birds at the farm. I did not know you no longer could.

Terri... Jell-O shots use up lots of jello

Better go. Second child with stomach flu yesterday day moved into issues at the other end all day. I have to figure out how to fix this problem. The antidiahreal pills didn't take care of it...
Ah, yes. Spoken by the gal who seldom drinks. Unless, of course, she doesn't consider consuming spiked Jello drinking????? Is that how we get the boys to go to sleep, dearie?

Try Pepto.

Heading home now, hope I can get to my house. Pretty sure the driveway will be impassible and I'll just have to beach the truck at the foot of it until I can get the snowblower fired up.

Off I go, into the cold, gray snowy night....

Morning all.....
No snow here yet if we get any I think it will be light maybe an inch......... never even got the dusting overnight they said we would have.
So anyway not much new here Adam is still out he's in TN this am, not sure where he is going from there, they wanted him to grab a load at 3 am and take is 170 miles to some other place Tn. well not possible they know he has 11 hours drive time, its a 12 hours to Clarkesville from Waupaca, what do they think he's a miracle worker............... so waiting on another load, now.
Spent most of morning fighting with progressive about my totaled jeep, they want to pay me 1300 dollars to fix it when there estimate was like 1644. and unknown damage, when the guy said I would not be able to fix it for that... ***, or they give me 2003 its value, and I have to find another one with like miles no leaks, a good tranny, and A 5 speed to boot... arggg I hate these people, Progessive sucks big time, wish I was using my Americana family I would have already got check in hand..... now they are arguing about my neck and chiropractor bill, they want to settle right now, Dr says twice a week for 4 to 6 then reevaluate so wish I knew a good attorney that wouldn't charge me an arm and leg, the abulance chasers have already sent me 7 different letters wanting to represent me crooks.......
anyway got distracted had to leave for chiro appointment....., so anyway later all. Kim

Tyler used to run his own hatchery. I do not remember why he no longer runs it, all I know is he lives in town so a hatchery is not possible at his present location. I like Tyler and would support his business anyway.

Anti diarrheal medication should not be given when dealing with a viral infection, it could make the individual sicker. Better to let the illness run the course.

We have about 3" of fluffy white stuff.

It has been an eventful weekend, to say the least. I will update everyone later.

Frenchie, where are you???? We miss you!

Yep, i like Tyler too bl4. Shipping birds across the country this time of year with flight delays from every storm that appears is iffy at best. Folks should know where their birds are are coming from, was my point, is all. Buy local this time of year for best results, and not a box of dead birds that will continue to happen til the weather improves for folks that take a chance, and then complain about poor results.....it's not the hatcheries..they get the blame...it's the usps!
