Good morning! I got my laundry off the line just in time! The wind was ferocious though. Felt very cold also. I went out to close the North side doors so the critters would have some shelter from the wind and it seemed to stop as soon as it started--it was very weird! Then it was raining a bit and very dark; seems like it is stopped now and getting lighter too. It sure feels like 7 at night though. Guess it is an inside day today...probably a good thing though--I really should clean this sty up a bit before I take off for a 4 day scrapping weekend! Oh wait--it will be trashed by the time I get home anyway...maybe if I do a little DD will finish it up for me?

I was in on that one but not intentionally--it just stirred up some feelings is all...gee, kinda like the "S" word does! Really though, Somebody brought some Buttons for me at our very first bash and somebody let some of them out of the box and then somebody else tried to catch them...man they are fast little buggers! So that is why we dont talk about them anymore either!

Not a whole lot going on here. Im taking a rally class with the pup. Im sooo enjoying learning something new! It is nice to be challenged in training again! The pupis catching on pretty quickly

Yes it is one of my BCs in that class. Thursday is the last night. I dont think I am going to sogn up for another class though. Kinda pricey and I dont thing she is the right dog for Agility. Rally obedience is fun though! I love to watch it.

I add electrolytes and vitamins to my waters until they are at least 6 weeks old. All my waters get ACV at all ages for all animals.

Vicky I thought I read somewhere that if you use ACV and vitamins/electrolytes together one negates the other? Dont remember where I read it or which one loses it's benefits...anyone?

Guess I will start on the mountain of dishes etc. Not a lot getting accomplished sitting here, that is for sure! The kids sure wont be "swimming" today! Man, it is CHILLY out there! I think I will have one of the LO potato pancakes for breakfast. YUM!

Ok, caught up from 5 pages ago now I need to go back and catch up from two ways ago or so !!! I missed the whole skunk and abused horse episodes !!! So makring my spot.

Yeah I have some old pickle pails around and can still smell the pickles. I think these will be used for other things too !!! Even nest boxes if you set them on their sides and fram in around them and a make a ledge in the front of the bucket to keep the eggs from rolling out.

Hmm, BYC froze up on me for quite a while. Now don't know what else I was gonna say.... Must have been a lie !!!

Ok, back to ordering hatchery catalogs for ET's Boss !

Oh, here is one thing I wanted to know. Who is all coming and bringing kids to the bash. We're trying to convice ET's boss to come with his three little boys, all under 4 or 5yrs...... If BigFam comes they'd for sure have kids to play with !!!

Oh and I'll need a tent site with electric... need to charge myself (or parts anyway) and ET uses a sleep machine, altough I don't know if he will be bringing that along. lol

Cind and I should camp next to each other so when we retire for the day we don't wake the others.

I never feed medicated feed..ever...the drugs they use to prevent cocci are harsh on young chicks. I am not going to get into the whys..everyone needs to do there own investigation and make there own informed decisions by reading..not listening to others. Runny poop is NOT normal.

The chicks are getting to that awkard and some what ugly "teen" phase. I have to move them to a bigger brooder tote..
DH had a triglyceride flair up last night so he is home for the day. I have most of the week off, I have to work Th, Fri and Sat, so will miss most of the Midwest Horse Fair.

The chickens are doing great, although I am going to really REALLY move the silkies to their own area, one of my odd crosses is being a bit of a jerk, his mom is one of KristiP's black silkies, and his dad was one of my jaerhon roos.. so he looks like a silkied jarehon with a silkie comb.
I had to change my phone as it died a quick and painful death and because it was insured but prepaid they could not transfer the number to the new phone as we went with a contract this time.
If anyone needs or wants my new number, msg me and I can get it to you.

That is a little too bizarre for me...

FT, we use glass gallon pickle jars for getting our milk from the farm, the gal there said to turn them upside down in the grass for a day, it takes the odor out. I still had to wash them but it did seem to help.

We use glass gallon pickle jars for many things like storing flour, sugar, oatmeal, rice, etc. to keep the bugs out.
