Sorry how upsetting to have them just be gone w/o knowing what took them and when it could come back :(

Deli...hope FIL is better soon and DH can relax...aka you can too! Never fun!

ok...so Deli...what is the roo..lol... rock? Black with little gold leakage on chest..seen here with the BCM roo..not best pic, he is the one on right. Black clean legs. three weeks and these two have red combs...other combs, not as red..waiting... they are so funny. just tried feeding dried mealies for first time. Had dozens in my hand...they kept pecking my hand and not worms. Silly birds.
no waddles yet to see..looks pretty cockerel though..you need to wait for a while.

Hey CC I'm thinking I might try to go do you need to reserve spots in advance? In kind out of the loop with the camping thing... I do have a tent DH bought last year! We put it in the back yard and he and DS 6 slept in it once! Haha
No need to reserve spots. There is plenty of room, especially if you have a tent and/or do not require an electric hookup. Bigz is the expert on the place, but whoever is on here at the time that has been there before can answer most peoples questions. Just get there whenever you can and pick a spot.

Hey bigz.... nope like I said it was TO that went to your house !!!! like forever checking out your Delawares... That's what you have right? I know it's a heritage breed... that much I remember.

So you do know the guy? I was there well like forever looking at all his animals.... I kept saying "TG I don't live closer or I'd be over all the time" . I think Jim ordered cause his were spoken for... if I remembered correctly.... I'm sort of forgetful these days or get my stories jumbled up !!!

Gee Whiz Colton... don't you know the hatching rules ???? You are suppose to sit on your hands while they hatch and press your nose on the incubator window, leaving a nice big nose print on it, or several if you lift your head at all to straighten your back because you can't sit hunched over all day like that, well maybe you could cause you are young yet !!! So no you can't open it cause you are sitting on your hands.

C-Pap Row !!! I love it..... Actually my leg is a C-leg no kidding..... And CC is saving the spots...... So I guess it should be calll C Row !!!

Just started thinking I was going to bring Apple Pie shots last year. They are still in the fridge from last year. Wonder if they are any good. I'll have to try some !!!! (hiccup)

I can make more but it wouldn't be with fresh apple cider, just the store bought kind this year.

Has anyone ever had Buff Ameraucana's ??? Might get some hatching eggs ??? Hmmmm Oh geez you guys,,,, i've caught the bug and I I tried not to. I kept my nose covered while I read the posts and used a whole bottle of hand sanitizer !!!!! Boy that bug is strong !!!

WI Chook..... you can pm me your new number. Anyone else can to (their number) So I can get better organized !!!

Hey, guess what I saw at Fleet Farm yesterday... If I was born rich instead of beautiful I would have bought one... They have blow up (get your minds out of the gutter) couches and chairs in the tent section !!!! OMG I almost started laughin
g, I was alone so I thought best not to.
I thought it would look nice out in front of my tent !!!! I remember when I was on the landlord association down in Racine some of the the landlords had it written in there lease
"NO Inside Furniture Outside" !!!

But up here if you see the cargo van lined yards you will find Inside Furniture Outside on their front porch !!!

Oh and Amy, you would have to mention the Wi Horse Fair. I had talked about driving down and going with my sister but somehow that exited my memory too !!!

I'd love to see some driving clinics if they have any.

Ok got to go watch Nashville, and not because I live in Nashille !

I'll be back later !

DH has been spending the night at the hospital..my turn is tomorrow night. FIL does not communicate well and most do not understand him, so someone needs to spend the night. DH is stressed out.
So sorry to hear this.

Thanks for all the advise. I cleaned her up as best as I could. One eye is completely swollen shut yet but she can open the other one a little bit. Only problem now is that she's not eating and she'll only take water from a Syringe when water is dropped on her beak. Any suggestions to get her to eat or drink?

I personally would mix the food with the water and syringe feed it to give her a fighting chance... she is probably sore... idk how much time you are willing to put in. Acv in the water also... im surewill post more advice soon.

Do you have any vitamins/electrolytes to put in her water? Keep giving her water with the syringe if that is the only way she will drink. She needs to stay hydrated. Poly-vis-ol (no iron formula) would work in a pinch. A few drops right into her beak.

You could try making a slurry with crushed feed & some milk or vitamin water & try to get that into a syringe. Just be careful to get it down her throat past her windpipe so it doesn't get in her lungs. Or if you don't want to try that, make it a thicker paste and force it into her mouth with your fingers.
