Ghost- what happened with your chick? If you had to cull it I hope it fast as least traumatic as can be.
I was thinking about the vinegar/baking soda method, and had read that it could take 30-45sec to be complete. Seems like if I watch a timer for that long that it seems too long. On the chantecler thread they were talking about the cinder block method. Don't know what that is, but it doesn't sound pretty!
I had asked but I thought I would ask again- will my bantam ameraucana fare well with the flock being that it is the only bantam I have? If not, does someone have a bantam chick or eggs for sale? Doesn't matter what kind, just that I plan on keeping them with LF.
So- one of the milker found a clutch of 30+ eggs yesterday morning by the barn wall! I knew they must have been laying somewhere because the egg count was down, but I couldn't find them. My MIL gave them to the breeder and kept some for herself. I would have thrown them away. Hope he doesn't get sick. I know eggs can last for a long time, but she said they were so filthy she couldn't even tell what color they were. The heat, the rain... Yuck-to me it is "when in doubt throw them out." I checked today and there were no eggs there though. I suppose now that the eggs are all gone, they will find a new place to lay?

My wife has sent me to the store to buy everything from underwear to winter coats and then some if ya know what I mean.

If I truly wanted a fight, all I would need to say is something about her mother that was true and game on.

Judge.... I don't think I would eat those eggs either.

They could have been there all winter!

I saw the turkey under my window got up to stretch her legs and have a snack between showers. I wanted to check on the eggs but by the time I got out there she was back on them all ready. I moved "miss broody" again and penned the area. I didn't have anything good for a cover though. I'll have to work on that. 3 days left on the other broody!

Wish Jim would come back... what's he waiting for?

I had one of my white ameracaunas pullets lay her first egg. Very nice blue! Hey I have 2 white ameracaunas cockerels that need to go away. Someone could use them to make olive eggers. Free to someone on here. Otherwise I guess I'm craigslisting them. Someone should buy them off me for food. What do you people charge on cl to get rid of extra Roos? TerriO???

And speaking of the Knowledge Fairy, oops my perspective Sugar Daddy/ Fairy, I did not label anything in the bators. Really? I only had to write the date on the eggs when I put them in. Apparently I was illiterate all those different times I shoved eggs in there. So now I figured I had to put some in lockdown. Then I have some at school due next week, so I MUST have some here to lock down. However the turkey eggs, and then some late arriving eggs will be another week. Then there's the duck eggs which would be a week after that??? I keep looking back at pm messages to estimate when I got the eggs as to when I threw them in and when lock down MIGHT be. Shoot, CC yelled at me for not writing on the calendar when chicks hatch. What's she gonna say about this?? (I think I see a smacking smiley in my future...)

I have more to update but will do later.
