That is exactly what my goats did. Scream and push through. They might have to stay with the chickens, only thing is that Cosmo the pony freaks out if he isn't with them. Crap.....gotta think of something fast.

JJ - My sympathies for the loss of your aunt!

Judge - Former owners of this place had goats. Looks like they kept them in part of the time in the barn in a room lined with metal! The outside fence was full of holes patched with various pieces of wire mesh. It looked like a crazy quilt! They seem to have had a LOT of trouble keeping them in! You may have to invest in a ton of concertina wire! Up in Door County Al Johnson keeps his up on the grass roof of his restaurant.

Good morning everybody! The kiddos had tons of fun at their first show!!! Syd got 2 blues and a red! Blake got a blue AND a trophy!
They were so prroud although syd was pretty jealous of that trophy. She decided that she needs to practice and learn so she can win one

And... our first ever hatched chicks!!!!!!

Hope all the Mother's had a wonderful Mother's Day and got treated well! Forgot to mention that my eldest DD is expecting her second set of twins in July. Poor baby is as big as a house! First set (now 6) were girls and this time around it's boys. Thankfully everything looks wonderful this time around!

Forgot to cover some of my plants last night and noticed some looked a little droopy.... hoping they can recover. Would be nice if spring would arrive and stay for a spell!

Well, the frustration of job hunting continues... the perm didn't take, the child's still a royal pain with an UGLY attitude and her Dad is still wishy washy. Last night, the child who is grounded had a friend spend the night and this morning after she left to drop friend off and head to school I hear dear SO call her and ask if the girl is homeless... then I hear him say... "Oh, OK, cuz if she was I was going to say she could stay here." What?!? Apparently I am living with someone who A) Has lost his mind B) has a death wish

On the bright side it's made me realize the insanity I live with on a daily basis and why

has come to feel soothing!

Hoping that In the next week or two I can swing over and visit one of my friends who has some adorable goats and a young donkey and get some more pics, almost came home last time with her "spare" rooster, maybe this time I'll take her up on it... heck if SO can make unilateral decisions, I can too, right? Well off to fill out more applications.

Judge I'm no help with goat fencing. I keep mine in the pole shed with dog fencing panels. But then I just let them out to free range like the chickens. I just have to make sure I close the access to the chicken run so the b@stards can't get in the coop to eat all the food.

Sucks about all the losses most of us have gone through it at one time or another too! Happy mom's day to all you mothers out there! Seriously thinking the garden will only have maters, cuc's, dill, oh and broc and.... Oh he!! BF4me that sucks about the therapist! Very pretty birds CC! Got the boat motor back yesterday so that's on the list for today along with so much more. CRS has kicked and so has the java gotta move! Hope ya all have a great day!

Dr. H. We have a campsite at Birkensee Campground off of Hwy D on Hwy H in Tomahawk. It was rain, sunshine, sleet, sunshine, snow....well, you get the idea. Not much campfire time this weekend.

We have fainters and we have just used the welded wire (3 foot) for them zip tied to T-posts. This year we are going to make a new pasture for them and got some free boards that DH is going to put up and then put the wire on the inside. Fainters won't jump out like Pigmys will so it doesn't have to be very tall. We've never used electric fencing. We free-range them at times, too. If you really have some flowers or bushes you like, they will go for them first. They REALLY like my strawberry plants.

You guys are making me nervous about getting goats..... and I really need to get them if I want to continue to make soap; paying $4 a qt for milk at the grocery is going to make the bars cost $6 each!

My computer was acting up and I thought for while was fried (remind me I need to back it up ) So was just checking emails on my cel, not a smart phone so couldn't really get on Cheeseheads....... Bummer !!!

Been a couple weeks I think anyway.

This was the first Mothers Day without my Auntie Esther. She was like a second mother since my parents were taken from us 11 yrs ago. Just walked around Menards yesterday filling up my cart with flowers..... Then ended up putting most of them back. Boy did prices go up on flowers. I can remember getting my mom flats of 72 impatiens for $5 at Kmart and even at Steins !!!! Good old days where you could FILL up the back of a station wagon from the garden center for $50 !!! Now they want $49.99 for a hanging basket at Menards !!! Crazy !!

So after I decided on just 4 geraniums I got a 40 lb bag of dog food.... As I lifted the dog food out of the cart it slipped out of my hands, right on top of the flowers. Then I did it again !!!! Not happy, should have taken the flowers out of the cart but no..... I lifted the bag again and dropped it again on the flowers!!!!!! Geez

Then went to Fleet Farm and they were covering all of their plants, but managed to walk out with a free pink geranium for mothers day. Guess they didn't draw the crowds they expected because they were free to the first 300 customers and this was 6pm.

Well I got my chicks and ducklings two weeks ago from Ideal....... out of 36 I think I might have 20 left. And of course the two male ducks that I ordred were DOA...... So I have some replacements coming the week of the bash !!!!! Only time I could get snowy mallards. Now either have to find a baby sitter for them or bring them with ?????? Gees never a dull moment. The other ducks are magepies and runners.

Been volunteering at the spay clinic a bit but now I'm frantically getting ready to leave for Racine tomorrow. Have to babysit my two yr old niece.... Can't wait... guess she is talking up storm....

Long story short, friday I volunteered all day then OM ET and I drove to Stratford to pick up a shed for his boss. They guy wanted $400, talked him down to $300 and when we got there found out it was only 5x8 vs 5x10 so he took $250 for it. Wish I would have bought it for myself.... My piggies need a new house and it would have been perfect.
There was a miscommunication as to how to load it etc. So we went down without any ratchet or boards for ramps etc. So had to drive to Marshfields Menards and spend $50 on a come along !!!! Needless to say we delivered the coop to Elcho at 2AM !!! Got to bed at 4am......Beat !!! Now I'm getting a sore throat.... Happens every time I overdue it an loose sleep !!!! $$$$HHHHHIIIIIITTTTT. Now I know why I put most of my flowers back, I just didn't have the energy to go home and plant or could care less. I was feeling punky all day yesterday..... Sure hope I don't get to sick. I want to enjoy my time with Adalyn !!

I gave my chickens some more halibut yesterday. I found more in the freezer (about 3 pounds) so I thawed it and fed it to them. They sure love that stuff! I think my husband is planning another trip to Alaska. Here we go again . . . Bring home an elk in the fall, that's all I ask. No Caibou, moose, mule deer, white tail deer, salmon or halibut. Wild turkey and elk are the meats I prefer.

BBP- if your hubby brings any of the above home, we'll take some!!!!!
