Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Wow... slow night. Well, don't have much more to say. I did pull 4 ticks in total off the cats so far. Those guineas better get to chowing down on 'em!

CS.... Yep, with air pressure jumping around it really kicks up the arthritis! Bet many of us are feeling it. I think that's a good part of why I haven't been too good lately.

Just boiled a bunch of eggs. Going to make egg salad and leave a few for eating. Had one that cracked and it made a bunch of "egg noodles" LOL

Guess it's Night All.... unless someone shows up.

Good evening! OMG--I am on here with Frenchie and Cind! I am becoming one of the "ladies of the night!"

Actually--the kids left at 11:30 and I have to go and pick up DS in Madison when he id done with work. Of course I went out to feed the horses and missed his call because I left the phone on the charger. Now he isnt answering so I dont know if they decided to work longer or if he was telling me to head out.

Not sure if I should try to sleep or not! Cripes I hate this! He suggested that he just drive to work himself! IDIOT! Yeah, no license, no insurance and MY car...I dont think so!

SO the neighbors' beagle came over again today...I had him here tied in our yard for 5 hours before I finally called the number on the tag. I had called where he got his rabies shot from...hoping that they had adopted him from there; but no. She said I should call the humane society and maybe if they had to pay to get him back they mmight keep a closer watch on him. Such a sweet dog! He loves coming over here and now that he was in the house and playing with my dogs I have a feeling we will see him again. You guys talking about ticks...I pulled 6 off of him! Guess I have to sell them some guineas. I dont mind that he comes over but I sure dont want to see him get hit on the road. 45 MPH doesnt look good on a dog!

Sorry to hear yo wont be making the bash JJ! (sorry about your Aunt too) I was really looking forward to Raccoon S'mores!
Congrats on the wins Little Cuties! Great job! I love watching little kids show animals. There is a Future Showman class at our county fair where the little ones get to show their older sibs' pigs or cattle. It is the best class in the whole fair I think!

Judge--look up the Premier website. That electic netting is supposed to keep goats in pretty good. My friend uses it for rotational grazing with her sheep and they stay in just fine. Of course if you have your goats in a place where they dont have anything to eat or do (goats are not fond of grass like ponies and sheep) they are going to get out! The pic you showed only looked like a flat pasture area....very boring for goats! I keep mine in dog panel fencing and they are slowly destroying it. I plan to replace it with cattle panels this year and a hot wire about shoulder height to discourage rubbing.

I had one of the Bobs hatch today! I thought now were going to hatch so I did the float test on a few of them the other day. Those eggs jumped and wiggled like mad! Now I am hopeful again.

I am getting so tired...I think I will lay down with my phone and hope I hear it when DS calls...
Have a good "rest" of the night Cind and Frenchie! Drive safe to Racine!

Is anyone planning on going to this this weekend? I decided to go here vs the animal auction, even tho it's a 2 hr drive difference. Chickens are cheap enough, I'm not worried about trying to get them cheaper at an auction. I'm used to paying $100-250 for one rabbit, so $2-5 for a chicken is nothing! LMAO!

Yep Cind he wears me out playing fetch. Running late slept till 5:15. but stayed up till 10 watchin Warehouse. Better get movin.

Ticks are horrible here...ok are guineas the least bit friendly? Might need to add one for tick control with the girls... do they lay eggs at all?
today is the day I pick their brains at work. need to know answers about my last day or what their plans are for me. I hate being pulled around but the paycheck is nice I tell ya! And I am pretty sure that since they changed the job on me, I get unemployment from them.

still trying to meet up with Carol but she is elusive... her work is crazy it sounds like.
Got to meet Rberry last week and she and her husband were so nice to let me browse their rummage for a bit and talk chicken. I did not realize how close we really are. Hope she takes me up on stopping over this summer for a lemonade! Just have to deal with the crazy kids running around.

was exhausted yesterday otherwise I would have gotten more done in my overgrown gardens to prep them for some planting. A neighbor gave me some cattle pannels for growing veggies up..I just need to figure out if it is possible to cut through or bend them to make them smaller!

Oh Dr... Warehouse 13 rocks... we will watch tonight as we DVR'd it! So glad it is back

Good morning!

I am supposed to meet and pick up feed and chicks today, but no word yet on where and when. Some of you guys are so busy. It feels so much warmer this morning. No frost on the ground. I sure hope we finally have spring.

Thanks for all of the congrats guys:-) im a proud mommy!

Im sure babys aggs are done... just the 4 chicks. How long do you guys wait? I have the two that arent due still under her. The bator (thx zeek) is ready just incase. I put the feed and water very close to the nest. Baby gets up to feed the hatched? And gets right back on :-) too cute, yesterday they would eat on their own. And then she would wait a minute and tap her beak to call them back under :-)
Hoping to make the bash! I think hubby is sold on it :-) im excited to meet face to face!

The pup did aweso.e at class last night! We were working on jumps. He is so fat and lazy, I never thought he would be up to it... he loved it!!!
Anywho, hope you all have a good day!!!

P.s.del, quail too big for button, too little for quartinix. Nothing worked, we decided to just put it in the coop as you did... I guess the turkey has yet another baby lol (she already adoptted all of the dots from the very first batch lololololol

Good morning all!
Busy day for me today-
Waiting for the repairman to come and fix my stove/oven. I have been without for a week! Very tricky with 6 of us feed.
Most exciting is that I get to go to one of the custom cabinet places and get going with picking out cabinets and such for the kitchen remodel/addition. So much more fun than the garage addition stuff that DH has to do. So many choices though- I hardly know where to begin.

I too have been feeling very sore these last two weeks. So air pressure huh?
As far as the goats- I thought they loved grass? What else do they like to eat? Hmm- maybe I have been going about this all wrong. I have been feeding them alfalfa and kitchen scraps, and letting them munch on grass. They seem to like it?
I will definetly be reading up on that.
Enjoy the day all!

Judge, see if you can get your mitts on some of those giant spools from the utility company, I know someone who uses those for her goats to play on. Maybe get some junk pallets and build a bridge....
