Good evening! OMG--I am on here with Frenchie and Cind! I am becoming one of the "ladies of the night!"
Actually--the kids left at 11:30 and I have to go and pick up DS in Madison when he id done with work. Of course I went out to feed the horses and missed his call because I left the phone on the charger. Now he isnt answering so I dont know if they decided to work longer or if he was telling me to head out.
Not sure if I should try to sleep or not! Cripes I hate this! He suggested that he just drive to work himself! IDIOT! Yeah, no license, no insurance and MY car...I dont think so!
SO the neighbors' beagle came over again today...I had him here tied in our yard for 5 hours before I finally called the number on the tag. I had called where he got his rabies shot from...hoping that they had adopted him from there; but no. She said I should call the humane society and maybe if they had to pay to get him back they mmight keep a closer watch on him. Such a sweet dog! He loves coming over here and now that he was in the house and playing with my dogs I have a feeling we will see him again. You guys talking about ticks...I pulled 6 off of him! Guess I have to sell them some guineas. I dont mind that he comes over but I sure dont want to see him get hit on the road. 45 MPH doesnt look good on a dog!
Sorry to hear yo wont be making the bash JJ! (sorry about your Aunt too) I was really looking forward to Raccoon S'mores!
Congrats on the wins Little Cuties! Great job! I love watching little kids show animals. There is a Future Showman class at our county fair where the little ones get to show their older sibs' pigs or cattle. It is the best class in the whole fair I think!
Judge--look up the Premier website. That electic netting is supposed to keep goats in pretty good. My friend uses it for rotational grazing with her sheep and they stay in just fine. Of course if you have your goats in a place where they dont have anything to eat or do (goats are not fond of grass like ponies and sheep) they are going to get out! The pic you showed only looked like a flat pasture area....very boring for goats! I keep mine in dog panel fencing and they are slowly destroying it. I plan to replace it with cattle panels this year and a hot wire about shoulder height to discourage rubbing.
I had one of the Bobs hatch today! I thought now were going to hatch so I did the float test on a few of them the other day. Those eggs jumped and wiggled like mad! Now I am hopeful again.
I am getting so tired...I think I will lay down with my phone and hope I hear it when DS calls...
Have a good "rest" of the night Cind and Frenchie! Drive safe to Racine!
