Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

No one should have to put up with getting treated that way. It is one thing to not be of an agressive nature, and completely different to stand up for yourself.

If you know the parents of course talk to them first. I just do not see how ignoring the siruation improves it.

Cind..

That is pretty normal for wings as they feather. Part of their charm. I am sorry for your chick loss.
Delisha- I was going to ask you- what is the difference between a red sexlink and a cherry egg er? From the picture they look the same to me
The color of the egg, and cherry eggers are not sex linked. It was just a way to make them popular a long time ago. A cherry colored egg was a good selling tool. There really is no difference, I could not tell them a part on my plate. Like all Hy-breds they are good for one generation. I have not purchased cherry eggers for a long time. I have descendants of cherry eggers. I have no idea if they even make them any more.
I'm so sorry cind! Its so hard when something like that happens...
Bbp, my son is only 3. At the time , he was 2. He was being bullied at my aunts house by a boy that was 3, and much bigger. I tried talking with my aunt... didnt get anywhere. Boys will be boys attitude... same with the father I told blake next time hes mean to you, punch him in the nose. Blake did. He earned that little boys respect, and doesn't take sh! T. And he sticks up for his big sis. When my aunt and the father "talked to me" I responded, boys will be boys.

Cs must be very busy wit the house! Hope all is well :)

Our baby has arrived! All seems well :) I will now try to post a pic. If it doesn't work, I will tomorrow. I'm going to bed soon. Another 3 am 12 hours tomorrow :-(

Thankyoudelandzeke!

Rainy day to All...happy Birthday bigfam! Hope you had a great day.

Sorry about the peep Cind. It's always crummy to find a healthy one that should still be running around not doing so.

All the apple trees are in bloom here right now...hope the frost stays north from here. We lost all the blossoms last year to frost. My duchess pie apple tree is snow white, and we need to freeze apple pies this year.

Still coming down in sheets here.

Have Fun....bigz

Amy, my egg production is the lowest in months (just when I need more) the coyote attacks didn't help, my 8 remaining 2 yr old sex links are burnt out and moulting, and 5 of my 7 breeder Marans are now broody

I am sorry to tell you this ,,but i think you r in for a long summer of very few eggs,,,, Why you ask?

Well,,,when I was younger I used to watch a lot of documentaries and I remember one in particular about coyotes.. I think it was on P.B.S no maybe it was on C.N.N.[ the Cartoon News Network ] yes that was it,,,anyway,, You cant kill a coyote ,,,it cant be done,,doesn t matter what you do,,, You see there was this bird called a Road Runner,,,, and this coyote tried several ways to get im,, Some how the plans always seemed to get twisted and the Willie Coyote would fall prey to his own plot,,, Never seemed to kill him though!!! I saw this program several times,,,always with the same results.. So I think its impossible to kill a coyote cause it was on C.N.N. ,,,must be true........ You might have a better chance at gettin him if you can get Jim to trap one of those huge bionic skunks I ve heard about,,, Maybe at least he would scare him off,,,,, But guard your young children,,,,, they could fall prey to the skunk ...

I hope this helps,, If I can be of any assistance in the future please let me know!!!! Zeke

Nice pot stirring Jim!!!!!! That il teach ya!!

Evening all,
Well everything either covered or dug up and put onto the greenhouse. If we lose cloud cover tonight and the wind dies down (all that is supposed to happen), we will frost and matter we are definitely freezing tomorrow night. Sometimes I really hate the north woods. The chicks have totally outgrown their brooder and should be outside, they're really starting to smell!!! Saturday they go out even if I have to put the heater back in the coop.

My poor little Noodle is still limping but not any worse. She gets around ok but stops and lays down a lot. The bad weather actually helps because nobody is squawking about being locked up early and they had a nice thick fresh layer of barley straw to snuggle into and a treat of big leaves of fresh kale to snack on.

Hope everyone has a great time at the bash or whatever fun plans you have for the holiday weekend!!!

Off to snuggle ln myself now, goodnight everyone. :love

Thinking about getting a lamb to grow into a grass eater. Anyone here ever had sheep before? I would house it with my 2 goats.

Tomorrow is a big day. Well not big. But it's an important day. Well, not important to everyone, (but it should be!). Hhhmmmmm, a special day. I think CC will be happy tomorrow happened. I mean who would she pick on if it wasn't for tomorrow?!
Ah crap. I knew I'd forget. Happy birthday Heather. I am 9 pages behind, you jabber jaws.

Ewwwww. The past couple of days I have been smelling cat urine. I thought the litter box just needed cleaning, so I had DD12 clean it. I'm sitting here tonight, still smelling it pretty strong, so I go in to see if DD12 didn't do a good job, I'm sweeping up the litter from te floor, move the boxes, and see the problem. One of the cats missed the box and it soaked into the wood! Ugh. I mopped the area and now have baking soda spread over the area. I'm sure this won't solve the stain/odor, so I'll tackle it with peroxide, bleach or something!
