Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

We should make copies and SUPER GLUE it to the windshields of cars with pets/children/sleeping grandpas inside.
Um, those grandpas aren't sleeping, Irish.

Awwww, BBP, so sorry you are having such problems with your new chicks :hugs
JUDGE - OUCH!!!

OK, I have my buckets and I am ready to go for it. A final stupid question. (Ok, or two) My dry feed is Nutrena layer pellets. Is that good to use as fermented feed? What about Nutrena chick starter/grower crumbles for the chicks? Do I or can I throw in other grains?

Now I need to go pick some rhubarb leaves to make my spray. Darn aphids are attacking my peppers in the greenhouse.

It was a shipped egg. Not sure if it was due to shipping or the fact that the SFH gene pool is so small in the US. The little guy is peeping away all happy right now. But there's no way he'd ever be able to eat on his own.

Came home with 10 flats of berries today! Dropped one off at my mom's house and another at my neighbor so I have 8 flats to process PLUS I picked about 5 lbs of sugar snap peas..... right now I have 4 flats down and one more to get to tonight. The kids will have to get to the rest tomorrow...... the only thing holding me back is my chest freezer! It is taking forever to freeze the berries! We are probably due for a new one, the one we have is probably 20+ years old..... same with our washer and dryer.....

So right now I am just relaxing checking out stuff on the web....... looking at horses on CL..... there is a beauty of a paint on there that I wish I could afford to get. Oh well.

The beans started launching themselves out of the ground on Sunday, followed by the beets and then the carrots are slowly making an appearance. I REALLY need to get the potatoes planted...... perhaps I should do that right now......

Cannot wait to hear how the hay party went down south!

Wow! Everyone has been talkative lately.

I wish I had read up yesterday because I would have gone with Vicki to the hay party.

I've been busy reorganizing the kitchen, basement, and garage tossing out old stuff and making way for my dad's stuff. Nathan & I have not done much with the inside of the house until now. I bought 4 shelving units for the basement and have started moving things down there from the kitchen that we don't use frequently. All of Nate's brewing supplies are on one shelf, the extra kitchen stuff on another, one is empty, and the last only has paper towels and toilet paper on it. Also, I have cleared out an old wooden 6ft wide x 2 ft deep x 5ft tall cabinet of everything but canning supplies. This way when I am ready to can, I know where everything is and there is a place to put the sealed jars. Our 3 garbage cans are full plus we have 4 bags extra plus a bunch of junk out at the curb for pickup tomorrow. It is starting to look better but there is a lot left to do. We plan to paint the kitchen and put up peg board or grates to hang our pots and pans. This will give us a lot more storage area!

Vicki- what is your schedule like for this Friday or Saturday? If you are available, could you head this way to help identify roos? I'm off both days.

Heather-glad that you are feeling better about your coops, chickens, etc!

I think that the next time I have bloodwork done, I'll ask them to do a Eliza test. I'm just curious. With the RA, Fibro, etc..it has peeked (sp) my curiosity. I don't know that I'd change my diet though. I can't imagine ever getting my household to change their food options!

CC I got the eggs and stuck them under a first time broody ameracauna and my second time broody Marans. I hope they stick with it! I will have to look closer and make sure each girl has some of each, in case one gives up.

I got 4 soon to hatch eggs from Deli. I hope not being in a bator for that amount of time won't mess anything up. I REALLY hope Riga stays put. The musical nest game is fun and all, but if one of the other girls picks those eggs and they start hatching, well Riga loses. Riga, just stay put and listen for babies!!!!

Cuties, do u live close to Terri or something? I got that impression today.

Humid huh?!
